L’oreal Colour Riche Balm Pop

Let’s talk “Throwback”…

I love drugstore products a lot. Aside from the quality they are very affordable too. I am not the type of person that splurge on expensive things but if I have to, why not?

Today, I will be sharing three of my favorite things from L’oreal Paris makeup. I’m very picky when it comes to lip products as I’ve had a really bad allergic reaction before. I’m sure you’ve heard this story a gazzillion times but I can’t help not to remember a year or more of no lipstick. But anyway, glad that’s over!

L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Pop Lip BalmΒ is one of the very first few lip products that gave me hope in wearing lipsticks again.

These balms are great to use anytimeΒ of the day. I would say, it’s a lip balm and lipstick in one. Not full coverage (since it’s a balm) but you can build them up for a brighter and more pop of color if you like. The packaging looks elegant and the price is very affordable too.Β L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Pop Lip BalmΒ retails at $6.97 each atΒ Walmart.Β

They come in six different shades –

“The next generation of lip balms has arrived. Balm Pop enlivens lips with pure, vibrant color and contains Jojoba and Shea butter to nourish and hydrate for a full 8 hours”.

Tender Mauve is my most reached shade amongst the three items I have. These balms are amazing,Β theyΒ keep my lips soft and hydrated. Also very moisturizing, it glides onΒ smoothly and it feels really light on the lips. It doesn’t have any taste to it but has this soothing smell (but not overwhelming) fromΒ Jojoba and Shea butter which they claim helps nourish skin or lips (and I guess it’s true!).

How about you?

Have you tried any of the Colour Riche Balms too?

Until next time…

  1. I haven’t tried these but I boubht one to send to a UK-er for a swap – I got her the shade Bold Blush as I recall. She loves it.
I had the Colour Riche Caresse balms which seem really similar to these (I suspect L’Oreal discontinued those and launched these just to make people buy more stuff!)
Did you ever have Colour Riche Caresse, they look like this:

It feels waxy to me and maybe the shade too that I picked wasn’t good. I got the shade in like Pink something.. I don’t recall. I will check it out if I’ll find it. But they have the other kind too with almost the same packaging of the Balm Pop that I just posted and I didn’t like it either.

I meant they have almost the same name. But when I tried it, it wasn’t good. I returned them and took the Colour Riche Balm Pop.
