January Favorites!

Untitled_Fotor

Wow! It’s time for monthly favorites again? time flies so fast isn’t it? But Hey! I am not complaining as I am looking forward to much warmer weather and can finally put my winter stuff aside.

Anyway, I will be sharing with you what I’ve been loving “makeup wise” back in January!

For the face, I’ve been reaching for these combo every day of the week  except when I don’t wear any makeup at all.

  • Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation in Ivory. I love how it gives me full coverage but not too much that you can’t see a tiny bit of your own skin. It’s buildable, blendable, not “cakey” and I love the pleasant smell of this foundation. The longer this foundation sits on your skin, the better it looks.
  • Rimmel Match Perfection 2-In-1 Concealer And Highlighter in Fair/Light. If I’m not in the mood to apply any other products on my face, this is my go-to product to use. It covers the dark spots of my skin, it’s long wearing and it gives my skin some glow.
  • MAYBELLINE Fit Me Concealer in Light is one of the most amazing drugstore concealer I’ve ever tried. This concealer does a great job! Super smooth, blendable, it doesn’t “crack” when you build them up and most importantly, very affordable.
  • TARTE Smooth Operator Clay Finishing Powder is one of the products I got from my Ipsy Glam Bag! (December) and yes… I am now sold that product is worth the Hype! I don’t mind purchasing this finishing powder at all. This tiny container goes a long way, I only dab a tiny bit on my powder brush and you can see how great your face looks, it takes away the shine in seconds.

For my eyes, I’ve been reaching for the Too Faced The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette a lot. I love the pigmentation, the shade options, the feel of the eyeshadow when you touch them, when blending and the smell…. who doesn’t love Chocolate?? haha.. but it doesn’t linger when applied on your lids ok?LOL

For my lashes, this Covergirl The Super Sizer by LashBlast(r) mascara is on top of the list. If you want to know more about this mascara and my mascara collection and comparison, click  Mascara Collection/Review.

For my cheeks, If you’ve been following me on INSTAGRAM or Twitter I’m sure you’ve seen these blushes quite a lot.

essence Silky Touch blush in Autumn Peach is the perfect peach shade blush that I’ve tried. While Sephora‘s Coral Crush blush is my very first Sephora makeup that I’ve owned and this shade is just gorgeous. It does have a tiny bit of shimmer but I actually like it as it gives a hint of highlighter on your cheeks. Both blushes are super pigmented, you can build them up if you like and great for an everyday look! These blushes lives in my everyday makeup bag. 🙂

For my lips, well what can I say? as long as they feel good on my lips then that’s what I’m all for. I mean, yes! the color too of course.. LOL

You know how I love my Carmex Lip Balm, you’ve met my bestie a lot of times, now aside from my lip balm I’ve been loving L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Matte Lipcolour in the shade She’s So Matte and the new addition to my Rimmel London collection is this RIMMEL LONDON – The Only One Lipstick in You’re All Mine.

Both lipsticks are awesome! Very rich and creamy, non-drying and very pigmented, definitely affordable and the packaging is safe for travel. The cap or lid doesn’t come off easily unlike some other lipsticks I’ve owned.

For miscellaneous, I’m still reaching for the Victoria’s Secret Hair and Body Mist in Tease. Also, I’ve been loving the Essential Tools Deluxe Powder brush when applying the tarte finishing powder and Elf Professional Bronzing brush when applying my blush (I know it’s a bronzing brush but I like to use this for my blushes too, it’s just a perfect size for my super tiny face).

And that’s it!

I love the shade options in this original one.. And I guess it’s all up to what color you like in an eyeshadow.. The semi-sweet I guess is more subtle, light.. But the original is more dark and right on your face shade! Hahaha

I have the Rimmel foundation and Maybelline Fit Me concealer. I love these two products as they blended so well on my skin tone, super pigmented and leaves a pretty finish on my face. Glad you liked them too! x
