Flower Beauty by Drew B.

Everytime I visit Walmart, I kept on checking the Flower Beauty display but never did I imagine that I’ll purchase one myself. I haven’t really heard much about this brand and it’s hard to check out their products as they are really sealed and no testers for consumers to try (I know some people tends to open products even if they’re sealed but I’ve never had any luck with this one at all).

However, before we get into the products that I purchased, let me share a little bit about this brand.

Philosophy

You no longer have to spend a lot of money to get the quality cosmetics you want and deserve.

How do we do it? We do not pay for advertising. Where other beauty brands spend a vast percentage of the cost of their products on ads, we do not. Drew, as an owner of the brand, takes pride in promoting Flower, which in turn allows us to put all of our resources into the formulas and packaging, and not into advertising.

Custom-formulated with the same ingredients used in luxury make-up, our exclusive botanical-infused Soft-Focus Complex illuminates for a lit-from-within effect.

All products are proudly made in the USA and are never tested on animals.

So be em-FLOWER-ed. The best make-up isn’t only found in high-end stores any longer.

In case you don’t know, Flower Beauty is owned by one of my favorite Hollywood stars Drew Barrymore.

Now, on with the products!

Flower Cosmetics carries a wide variety of makeup. From foundation, blushes to lipsticks and eyeshadows they even have makeup tools that you might want to try as well.

I got really lucky that I snagged some of these beauties at a very affordable price. They were on sale for 30% off and since I’ve been super curious about them so I grabbed a few.

I love how the packaging looks. They come in black with a rose gold detail. The cap close tightly which is great and I also love how they show the actual color of the lipsticks at the bottom. This makes it easier for you to see how the shades look from the outside.

Lipstick from Flower BeautyFlower Cosmetics Lipstick

KISS STICK (HIGH-SHINE LIP COLOR) is a must-try. I love how creamy these lipsticks are and I also love the shade options that they have. Very smooth, super pigmented and very lightweight on the lips. Infact, I have been using Ginger Lily a ton lately as they are non-drying and surprisingly hydrating too.

Apricot Blossom – Ginger Lily – Sweet Peony

What you see on the packaging is what you get on the color payoff. This retails from $5.58-$5.98 at Walmart.

Flower Lip Service Lip Butter

From the name itself Lip Butter, this product does melt on your lips like BUTTER! This lip butter is non-sticky but it’s not super moisturizing either. There’s nothing special about this lip butter (in my own opinion). It does have a very light “floral” scent but not overwhelming.

I am not a fan of this packaging, as you can see it’s big, bulky and the cap does not close well.  Meaning… this will come off when placed inside your bag which is a BIG NO! NO to me..

According to the product description, “the lasting formula provides optical plumping effect with an ultra-shiny finish in one sweep of color“… I didn’t see any plumping effect at all but it has indeed a shiny finish.

I got this in the shade Sweet Peach and this retails from $5.74-$5.93 at Walmart.

Who doesn’t love a creme eyeshadow?

Aside from lip products I also purchased this Flower Beauty Color Play Creme Eyeshadow. I am a sucker of creme eyeshadows and I would say “Maybelline Color Tattoo” is my all time favorite creme eyeshadow ever.

The moment I felt the consistency of this eyeshadow, my initial reaction was “WOW” (literally), this eyeshadow is very soft that it felt like foam or mousse. This product glides on your skin like silk and blends easily. This is crease proof and really lightweight. I like that it has a lid stopper (I believe that’s what it’s called) as it prevents the product from drying. The container is very sturdy too, it’s glass with a plastic cover.

As you can see, I enjoyed playing with the eyeshadow on my hand as it’s buildable and blendable with an awesome color payoff! I like to use my finger when wearing this creme eyeshadow because the texture and quality is just amazing! I wouldn’t mind purchasing another shade of this eyeshadow. This is more on a maroon shade but with a sheen to it which makes it wearable anytime of the day. I got the shade Awesome Blossom and it retails for $6.78 at Walmart.

My thoughts on this purchase?

I am pretty happy with this purchase most especially with the KISS STICK (HIGH-SHINE LIP COLOR) lipsticks and the Flower Beauty Color Play Creme Eyeshadow. I don’t see myself reaching for the Flower Lip Service Butter though but I’m sure someone will be happy to own it. 🙂

This Flower Cosmetics is exclusively sold only at Walmart.

  1. I love Drew Barrymore, and bought up some of the Flower nail polishes! 🙂 They’re pretty nice, esp. for the price. I agree with you about the makeup packaging, though – so bulky! Why??? Love the swatches, though. I’ll have to try some of the makeup sometime. Nice that you found them on sale!
