KIKO Milano Cosmetics

Makeup! makeup! makeup! don’t we all adore them?

Today, I will be sharing a few products that I’ve never tried before. I’m sure you already have an idea as to what I’m referring to right? Anyway, during the 4th of July holiday sale I was able to purchase three products from KIKO Milano Cosmetics. It was such a pretty good dealΒ that it’s just too hard to ignore and since I’ve been wanting to try this brand for so long then I thought it’s the perfect time to buy some.

TheΒ promoΒ was to purchase at least $15 worth of products plus free shippingΒ (I thought it was great!) so I took advantage and boughtΒ a couple of theirΒ Limited Edition items.

Here’s a quick overview about KIKO MILANO Cosmetics.

THE BRAND

Β First item on the list is a lip product.

I guess I was a little bit late to head over to their site as most of the shades were already sold out. Luckily, this shade was still available and I thought it’s a great color to add to my nude lipstick collection.

I wasn’t sure on what to expect about this lipstick since I’ve never tried any of their products before, but surprisingly this lipstick is very creamy!

This is a Limited Edition Velvet Mat Lipstick in the shade Nude Beige (#600). To be honest, this color is just too nude for me so I ended up wearing a nude lip liner from Milani cosmetics with this lipstick and it came out beautifully. This doesn’t dry completely matte but instead it has a hint of sheen to it and almost like a satin finish lipstick.

What I like about this lipstick?

  • Very pigmented
  • Super smooth (very comfortable on the lips)
  • Long lasting
  • Non-drying
  • Slight yummy scent (cake???haha..that’s the first thing that popped into my mind)
  • Original price was $9.00 but paid only $3.90 (what a bargain right?)
  • The lipstick itself does have an engraved KIKO print (which makes it even more high end looking product)

The packaging is gorgeous (very unique holographic design in a metallic rose gold and a yellow gold detail on the inside). You push the top part of the cap and the lipstick will pop down then just pull the lipstick out (very similar to some Chanel lipstick packaging).

When closing, just push it in and make sure you will hear a click and that’s it! Very safe to throw in your purse and not worry about the cap to come off and makes a mess (you know what I mean).

Unfortunately, since this Velvet Mat Lipstick was a Limited Edition so it is no longer available for purchase. But, I already have my eyes on the other lipstick collection so I guess I’ll check back and try something else.

Next item is an eyeshadow.

It’s a bit overwhelming when you have a ton of options to choose from (93 shades available) and again, since I haven’t tried any of their products I thought I’d go for the shade that I know I will use (just to be on the safe side) so I chose the shade INFINITYΒ (Pearly Taupe Grey). This single eyeshadow originally cost $8.00 but I only paid $2.90, I only boughtΒ one shade just for me to try.

Product details:

Infinity Eyeshadow is pure colour and has long-lasting hold of up to 12 hours*.Β
Available in 93 shades – ranging in matte, satin, metallic and ultra-pearly finishes. Β
Ophthalmologically tested
Hypoallergenic. Formulated to ensure minimal instance of allergies.
Paraben free.
* Eyeshadow duration data up to 12 hours obtained by interpolation (clinical-instrumental test when measured at 10 hours).

What I like about this eyeshadow?

  • Very very pigmented
  • Super easy to blend
  • Does not crease
  • Really smooth formulation (no fall-outs)
  • Definitely affordable
  • It’s more on a soft matte finish but really beautiful when blended
  • I like to use this on my crease for a smokey eye look and sometimes just use a tiny bit all over my lid on a lazy makeup day

Last item that I purchased which I am so excited about is a blush (yup, another blush).

This is a Limited Edition DESERT DUNES TRIO BAKED BLUSH in the shade GYPSY PINK.Β Unfortunately, this is no longer available on the KIKO Milano website but here’s one I found just for reference (click HERE).

I was drawn into the beauty of this blush so without second thoughts, I immediately added it to my cart.

Let’s take a closer look on the packaging. Since I am a sucker of anything rose gold then yes! this is already a plus. Very unique design, a little bit bulky as you can see on my hand (I have a tiny hand so yeah, it’s quite bulky but in a cute way..hehe). It has a KK logo on the coverΒ with a “scaley” pattern as well.

Now onto the product itself!

Product details:

The baked formula is enriched with jojoba oil and vitamin E. The colour is intense and long lasting. The lightweight, fine texture glides on and blends easily. Pleasantly silky to the touch, it feels wonderful.
The compact is in coral-tinged gold with the KK logo on top and is equipped with a handy internal mirror. The raised, three-dimensional external design, inspired by the modern era, has a distinct feel and look.
Dermatologically tested.Β Paraben free.Β Non-comedogenic.

What do I like about this blush?

  • Highly pigmented (make sure that you don’t use full force when dipping your brush on the product, tiny product goes a long way)
  • Super easy to blend
  • Beautiful color payoff (not matte and not shimmery too) just simply “#perfection”
  • I love all the shades on this blush (pink andΒ coral)
  • Slightly scented (vanilla)
  • Really awesome ingredients (see product details)
  • Great for everyday wear
  • With high quality mirror
  • Gorgeous packaging (very elegant)
  • Was $18.00 and only paid $11.90

How stunning is that? it’s a 3-in-1 baked blush with a perfect shade combination.

And to wrap this up, I paid $16.33 for all three products above and I am definitely impressed with all the items that I got. If only the Velvet Mat Lipstick is still available, I’d go back and buy more shades. Though, I have my eyes on a few products right now but I’m trying to be a good girl here so spend less for now. πŸ™‚

One more thing that I love about this KIKO MILANO Cosmetics is that they do not test on animals (click HERE) which is great!

Currently, KIKO MILANO Cosmetics are having their back to school sale, so make sure to head over to their page and check them out!

Have you guys tried KIKO products?

  1. Oh you bought them online! I don’t think they ship to Canada yet, sadly!
I really like that unique packaging on the lipstick too. Infinity eye shadow looks gorgeous – just the kind of shade I’d wear. But that BLUSH! Wow! The compact is stunning and the blush inside too!
You got some great deals, and the free shipping! ❀

  2. It’s good that you got the blush – I LOVE IT. I’ve never been a fan of gradient blushes but holy cow the swatch that I did in store on a tester convinced me to hoard it while it was still available.

Their LE items tend to have good gems when you check them out in store. The Beauty Games line has a 3-in-1 blush stick that is amazing (shade 03) – not too pink and not too intense either.

Oh that sounds amazing! Yes.. This blush that I got is beautiful when all three shades are blended. I want to get more single shadows too. I saw several shades that looks really pretty.

          1. I couldn’t get into the single eyeshadows – the testers in my local Kiko got played around too much to the point where they lack pigmentation to me and had fallout. Maybe I’ll consider getting some since there are reviews stating that fallout was minimal to none and pigmentation was great.

                  1. I can see the appeal of it – singles provide more portability (speaking of which, I still have that duo baked eyeshadow but it’s just glitter), but I need my matte transitions too lol.

I may have to dive back into Kiko and settle for a matte transition single so I can work more with one of their duo single-esque eyeshadows.
