Polish of the week!

logo

I cannot believe that my last Polish of the Week post was back in July but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t played with my nails since then. However, I’ve been collecting nail polishes since the beginning of this year so I thought I’d start using them and see which of them gets to the top of my list.

Wet N’ Wild makeup is one of my favorite drugstore brands to date. I love the MegaLast Lip Color so much as well as their Color Icon Blushes, MegaGlo Highlight, makeup brushes and more.

Wet N’ Wild also carries nail polishes and have tried a few. I wasn’t impressed with the Wild Shine Nail Color though their color range is beautiful. They didn’t last that long on my nails, chipped after couple of days but that didn’t stop me from trying more of their new releases.

Now, this week’s nail polish is from their MegaLast Nail Color collection in the shade “Wet Cement”. I really like the formulation of this nail polish, it only takes two coats and I’m all set. It’s also quick dry which makes it even better so I didn’t have to waste time while waiting for my nails to dry.

Description:

All the results of going to the nail salon, but without the hassle. The driving, the sitting, the waiting, the forced small-talk, and especially the pricey manicurist bills? Forget it! Looking salon pampered just got easier! These 5-day, chip-resistant nail polish formulas are just so darn great, they deliver a professional look that is far easier to get. Ever wonder what actually makes a “salon” formula? Read the features!

The packaging is cute, the price is very affordable which cost me $1.99 each and it comes in 18 shades (if I’m not mistaken). Back in July, I wore the shade So Berry On Trend (click HERE for full post) and it lasted me for four (4) weeks. I shared a photo on my Instagram page on how my nails/nail polish looked on it’s fourth week.

Let’s take a closer look on the brush.

Claims:

  • A revolutionary resin polymer system for exceptional color adhesion
  • Calcium and mineral fortified to help prevent nail discoloration
  • 3-Free! Formaldehyde, toluene, and phthalate free!
  • Our ManiCurve™ Pro Brush! It’s absolutely incredible! The rod is flat so the liquid drains down to the bristles equally, and the rouded bristles hug your nail curves perfectly!

The brush is not the best, as you can see it’s poorly made (sorry Wet N’ Wild) but the brush could have been better. It’s thick and wide which I like but It’s uneven, though that didn’t stop me from using it. I do like the curve shaped brush too as it sculpted my nails nicely.

As always, after cleaning my nails properly I have to apply the Top Coat (OPI) before the nail polish (Wet Cement) and finish it with a Clear Coat (Rimmel London) for a beautiful smooth finish and it also helps my nail polish dries faster.

And for the finish look!

I think I just found my favorite shade or shall I say, my “staple shade” from now on.

I love how this shade compliments my skin/nails. I really find it stunning and simply elegant. I already plan of getting a few more of this shade in case Wet N’ Wild decided to discontinue them.

And that’s it!

Yes the brush is not the best. But it’s not streaky when you apply the polish which is good since the formulation of the polish is really nice and the top coat helps too so it’s really not bad. And oh isn’t this shade pretty? Im obsessed.. hehe

  1. This looks AMAZING on you! The brush not withstanding, it looks like it would be so much more expensive than a Wet n Wild polish, honestly. If you’d told me this was Dior, I would have believed you! 😆 Your nails look tip top condition too! ❤
