Black Friday Haul

picmonkey-sample

It’s catching up time again and let me show you what I got during the Black Friday madness! Just so you know, I didn’t really join the stampede on Black Friday as I was out and about on Thanksgiving night. I noticed that there were more great stuff the day/night before Black Friday than the actual Black Friday itself.

Also, I didn’t purchase a lot as I had my eyes on a few specific ones that I wanted to have. Most items I purchased are those that I know I will use a ton.

I will share my thoughts on some that I’ve used, while I will be introducing those that I haven’t put to the test.

ULTA

I went to ULTA specifically for two items.

The first product that I searched the entire store was this Becca Blush Trio Palette ($17.00). There were only two of these palettes left (not sure if there’s two left or only two were intended to be sold at that very moment) but I’m so glad to snag one.

The other palette was open and swatched, luckily this was completely untouched. I noticed that the embossed “Becca” print is a little off but I didn’t mind because this will allow me to dig into the product without a problem. I’m not sure about you, but I’m one of those that don’t want to ruin the print/design of the product especially when it’s brand new.

I’ve worn the shade Wisteria a few times and it’s gorgeous.

The next item that I purchased at Ulta which became my new go-to product lately is the Tarte Double Duty Beauty Palette Play Live in Color ($12.00).

I am obsessed with an all in one palette as they are very convenient to carry around. This is compact, with a double-decker design palette that comes with a mirror, four wearable eyeshadows and a beautiful blush for an everyday use.

SEPHORA

I only wanted one product at Sephora but I ended up getting three instead.

I don’t have any cream lipstick from tarte so I thought, this would be the perfect time to try one and since I am obsessed with the tarte blushes as well as the lights, camera Lashes mascara then why not? This Intro To tarte Deluxe Discovery Set only cost me $10.00 ($39.00 retail value), isn’t that a great deal?

I know the blushes I purchased are both in the same shade “Unstoppable” but I don’t mind because I love it a lot that it’s better to have more than regret later. 🙂

The Deluxe Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in unstoppable (peachy pink) is very natural on the skin and this Deluxe drench lip splash lipstick in living (nude mauve) is super smooth, creamy and non-drying too.

I had my eyes on this palette since it was launched and every time I try to purchase one, it’s always sold out. Luckily, they went back in stock just right around Black Friday so I was able to purchase one online. And since I am subscribed to Sephora flash, then I got to enjoy a free 2-day shipping which is even better.

This Limited Edition tarte Amazonian Clay Blush Palette Color Wheel ($44.00) is everything!
From the packaging to the blushes to it’s formulation, I can’t say enough.
I love this blush palette so much that I tried so hard not to use it because it’s just so pretty. However, I couldn’t resist that I had to use some of them.
I’m sure you all know how tarte blushes blends and feel on the skin so I guess no further
introduction needed.

Let’s take a moment and appreciate the beauty of this color wheel please..

Last stop, MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Palette Volume 2 – Artistic.

I was drawn to this palette because of it’s color options. Also, when I swatched them at the store, they felt amazing so I thought for only $25.00 it’s even better. I’ve played with some of the shades in this palette and hey! the pigmentation is awesome, non-chalky and super blendable too.

I’ve used ME 700, ME 302 and ME 930
And that’s it for my Black Friday Haul (Beauty Edition).

  1. Black Friday was such a distant memory! 😛 I also scored that Becca blush trio as you for 50% off! 😀
That Tarte palette looks amazing! I’ve never seen that. Is must be an Ulta exclusive.
And omg the Tarte blush wheel! Even though I haven’t loved the one blush I got from Tarte (Exposed) that wheel looks incredible.
I haven’t tried the MUFE palette yet (I don’t even know where it is right now!) Hehe, I love that you always show your dog in the palette mirrors now. 😆

Yes I remember your haul post. You also purchased the Becca and MUFE palettes.👍🏻I purchased the Limited Edition Blush palette from tarte early last year too and haven’t touched it (or should I say, don’t want to touch it☺) and this wheel is another one that I will try to use much this time.. and yes, the tarte palette is an Ulta exclusive which is great.. and again.. I never intended to show him on my mirrors.. I have to keep pushing him away coz he kept coming closer and closer every time but it just so happened that the photos came out nice with him so hey! Why not?? Haha..
