IPSY Glam Bag (January)+Review

Ipsy_Fotor

I always receive my Ipsy Glam Bag late which led me to share my post a month later, this also allow me to share my thoughts on the products that I got.

The January theme was MetropolisA Day In The Life of a City Babe“.

The items in the glam bag were actually useful.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics Paradise Blush –

  • The warm pink with apricot undertones brightens up pale complexions, but also pops on darker skin…no small feat in the blush world. But even more so than the color, we can’t get enough of the radiant finish that’s just shimmery enough without looking crazy glittery.

This blush/eyeshadow, reminds me a little bit of the theBalm’s Hot Mama! Shadow/Blush. This Paradise blush is very pigmented so you need to be very gentle when using this product. It blends nicely on the cheeks and a beautiful eyeshadow shade too.

The only  downside is the packaging. It’s hard to open, so you need to use a little bit of force or else you might end up chipping those beautiful manicured nails.

theBalm Cosmetics Bahama Mama –

  • This cult-fave brand has a “beauty in five minutes” philosophy that we can 110% get behind.

  • When you get back from a beach vacay, your skin looks slightly browned, not orange, right? Point being, any natural-looking bronzer is going to have brown undertones, and this one nails it.

  • Since its matte, you can also use it to contour, as shadow, or to fill in brows.

One of the smoothest bronzer I’ve ever tried. Amazing color payoff, blends easily, perfect for any skin tones and most of all it’s cruelty-free! I’m definitely buying a full size of this Bahama Mama Bronzer.

Swatches!

Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in Desert Sunset #02 –

  • Made with the most vivid pigments, so we get more color on our lids. And the gorgeous shimmery champagne shade is still giving us a buzz.

This is my second Mica Pigment from Naked Cosmetics and I’m so glad that I received a different shade from before. I had the shade Sierra Nevada (link Here) which I’ve used a few times and this Desert Sunset shade is on the warmer side that I find more wearable than the last one. This mica pigment is a multi-use product that’s also great to highlight some parts of your face and even your body if desired.

TEMPTU Base Smooth & Matte Primer –

  • We can admittedly get a little Goldilocks-esque when it comes to primer—finding them either too heavy or too greasy. But this one is just right, leaving our skin feeling silky smooth—without any residue—and definitely upping the staying power of our makeup. One swipe also tamps down shine and totally minimizes the look of any prominent pores.

This primer is wonderful. It feels like a moisturizer when applied on your skin, blends beautifully and helps my foundation glides smoothly. It doesn’t feel sticky whatsoever. All in all, I enjoyed this TEMPTU Base Smooth & Matte Primer a lot!

Jelly Pong Pong Coffee + Coconut Lip Scrub –

  • It took every ounce of our willpower not to completely lick this stuff, which smells like a cup of coffee and piña colada had a baby, off of our lips. It’s so good that we’d keep it just for the smell alone, but it really works, too! A little scoop of the shea-butter and sugar scrub buffs away any trace of flakes or dead skin, leaving lips soft, silky, and ready for lipstick application (or a makeout sesh).

This lip scrub smells luscious, but the consistency of the sugar isn’t the greatest. It feels chunky and sharp on the lips and it doesn’t melt the way I wanted it to be. I’ve only used this lip scrub twice and never used it again.

And how about the glam bag? HHmmm… it’s cute, useful as always. Simple yet elegant.
