Too Faced Melted Kisses & Sweet Cheeks

I have been seeing a lot of mixed reviews on the Too Faced Melted Kisses & Sweet Cheeks  since this product came out in December of 2015. When I received a newsletter from Too Faced saying that this item is on sale, I thought this would be the perfect time to try it myself.

As always Too Faced sends their products in this pretty in pink box with this hot pink crinkle cut paper shred stuffing and when you dig in, you will find either big or small items underneath those shredded paper.

The moment I pulled the item from the box I got really excited because of how cute the packaging looks!

TooFacedthumb_IMG_8854_1024_Fotor

They were individually wrapped which are perfect gifts for friends or family (really ideal during the holiday season).

Now onto the fun part!

I love how the Love Flush blushes and Melted Lipsticks coordinated with each other. I also received an extra gift which is the Melted Metallic Lipstick.

These deluxe Love Flush blushes are gorgeous.

The color range are just stunning and really great for an everyday look and very much wearable at night.

Your Love Is King is more on the darker/warmer shade while Justify My Love is on the brighter pink shade with a tiny hint of shimmer but less noticeable and Love Hangover is my favorite of them all, it’s more on the coral/peachy shade that is just right on my alley.

I barely tap my fingertips on the product and I immediately noticed how pigmented these blushes are. They are very smooth and they blend really well.

As you can see these blushes are very tiny, but I am OK with it! Let’s be honest, have you ever hit the pan of any of your blushes? (because I have not) I am actually happy with the size of these blushes as it’s great to carry around especially when you’re on a night-out with friends and only have to carry a small clutch.

Moving on with the Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick!

These lipsticks are in a mini sizes, not full size but mini! Yes, they may be mini sizes but very decent.

It has a precision tip applicator which helps the product glides easily, smoothly and evenly on your lips. It does have a very light scent (smell like berries to me) and they dry matte but very comfortable on the lips, really creamy AND very long lasting too!

They come in the shades Melted Peony, Melted Fig, Melted Nude and a bonus Melted Metallic Peony.

Melted Peony was not my first option amongst the bunch. I’m just not a fan of this shade (based on the color of the packaging) but when I tried them, I was actually impressed. I like how subtle the color is and it feels very lightweight and non-sticky on the lips.

I was also very excited with Melted Fig, I thought it’s going to be as vibrant and full coverage just like Melted Peony, but I was wrong. It’s more on a “lip”glossy consistency, sheer and I’m just not a fan. I would say it’s my least favorite of them all.

To be honest, I was a little bit skeptical with Melted Nude. It looks unflattering just by looking at the packaging, as well as on the swatches. However, when applied on the lips it is actually beautiful and very wearable. In fact, I’ve worn this a couple of times already and have been enjoying how pretty this Melted Nude is and the color payoff is just elegant.

Lastly, I’m so grateful that I received this Melted Metallic Peony as a gift since Melted Fig has been a disappointment. This shade is very bold, metallic (of course) but very lovely color which I would say can be worn during this spring season too.

MORE TO LOVE (source):

  • The ultimate liquified long wear mini lipstick trio and three coordinating Love Flush blushes
  • Deluxe Melted Nude & Love Hangover, Deluxe Melted Peony & Justify My Love, and Deluxe Melted Fig & Your Love is King
  • Pigment-rich, high-impact shades give a pretty pop of color for any skin tone
  • The long-wearing formulas of Melted and Love Flush ensure party-perfect gorgeousness all day and night

Wondering how much I paid for this? it’s original price was $36.00 and was on sale for $25.00 plus Free Shipping with a Gift! How can you resist that? The Melted Lipstick (full size 12mL/0.40 FL Oz) retails from $21.00 each while the size of this “mini” (5mL/0.16 FL Oz) lipstick is just good enough SO not bad at all, definitely worth it. (This item is currently sold out on the Too Faced page but you can purchase them here amazon.)

Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. Purchasing the full size of these blushes is certainly an option. The quality of the blushes are amazing and I wouldn’t mind checking out other colors of the MELTED LIQUIFIED LONG WEAR LIPSTICK as well.

Plus we all know that Too Faced products are Cruelty Free which makes it even better! ❤

Have you guys tried these Melted Liquid Lipsticks from Too Faced? What do you think? How about the blushes? Do you like them?

Flower Beauty by Drew B.

Everytime I visit Walmart, I kept on checking the Flower Beauty display but never did I imagine that I’ll purchase one myself. I haven’t really heard much about this brand and it’s hard to check out their products as they are really sealed and no testers for consumers to try (I know some people tends to open products even if they’re sealed but I’ve never had any luck with this one at all).

However, before we get into the products that I purchased, let me share a little bit about this brand.

Philosophy

You no longer have to spend a lot of money to get the quality cosmetics you want and deserve.

How do we do it? We do not pay for advertising. Where other beauty brands spend a vast percentage of the cost of their products on ads, we do not. Drew, as an owner of the brand, takes pride in promoting Flower, which in turn allows us to put all of our resources into the formulas and packaging, and not into advertising.

Custom-formulated with the same ingredients used in luxury make-up, our exclusive botanical-infused Soft-Focus Complex illuminates for a lit-from-within effect.

All products are proudly made in the USA and are never tested on animals.

So be em-FLOWER-ed. The best make-up isn’t only found in high-end stores any longer.

In case you don’t know, Flower Beauty is owned by one of my favorite Hollywood stars Drew Barrymore.

Now, on with the products!

Flower Cosmetics carries a wide variety of makeup. From foundation, blushes to lipsticks and eyeshadows they even have makeup tools that you might want to try as well.

I got really lucky that I snagged some of these beauties at a very affordable price. They were on sale for 30% off and since I’ve been super curious about them so I grabbed a few.

I love how the packaging looks. They come in black with a rose gold detail. The cap close tightly which is great and I also love how they show the actual color of the lipsticks at the bottom. This makes it easier for you to see how the shades look from the outside.

KISS STICK (HIGH-SHINE LIP COLOR) is a must-try. I love how creamy these lipsticks are and I also love the shade options that they have. Very smooth, super pigmented and very lightweight on the lips. Infact, I have been using Ginger Lily a ton lately as they are non-drying and surprisingly hydrating too.

Apricot Blossom – Ginger Lily – Sweet Peony

What you see on the packaging is what you get on the color payoff. This retails from $5.58-$5.98 at Walmart.

Flower Lip Service Lip Butter

From the name itself Lip Butter, this product does melt on your lips like BUTTER! This lip butter is non-sticky but it’s not super moisturizing either. There’s nothing special about this lip butter (in my own opinion). It does have a very light “floral” scent but not overwhelming.

I am not a fan of this packaging, as you can see it’s big, bulky and the cap does not close well.  Meaning… this will come off when placed inside your bag which is a BIG NO! NO to me..

According to the product description, “the lasting formula provides optical plumping effect with an ultra-shiny finish in one sweep of color“… I didn’t see any plumping effect at all but it has indeed a shiny finish.

I got this in the shade Sweet Peach and this retails from $5.74-$5.93 at Walmart.

Who doesn’t love a creme eyeshadow?

Aside from lip products I also purchased this Flower Beauty Color Play Creme Eyeshadow. I am a sucker of creme eyeshadows and I would say “Maybelline Color Tattoo” is my all time favorite creme eyeshadow ever.

The moment I felt the consistency of this eyeshadow, my initial reaction was “WOW” (literally), this eyeshadow is very soft that it felt like foam or mousse. This product glides on your skin like silk and blends easily. This is crease proof and really lightweight. I like that it has a lid stopper (I believe that’s what it’s called) as it prevents the product from drying. The container is very sturdy too, it’s glass with a plastic cover.

As you can see, I enjoyed playing with the eyeshadow on my hand as it’s buildable and blendable with an awesome color payoff! I like to use my finger when wearing this creme eyeshadow because the texture and quality is just amazing! I wouldn’t mind purchasing another shade of this eyeshadow. This is more on a maroon shade but with a sheen to it which makes it wearable anytime of the day. I got the shade Awesome Blossom and it retails for $6.78 at Walmart.

My thoughts on this purchase?

I am pretty happy with this purchase most especially with the KISS STICK (HIGH-SHINE LIP COLOR) lipsticks and the Flower Beauty Color Play Creme Eyeshadow. I don’t see myself reaching for the Flower Lip Service Butter though but I’m sure someone will be happy to own it. 🙂

This Flower Cosmetics is exclusively sold only at Walmart.

Paris Hilton Strobing Kit?

While strolling around the mall, I ended up checking out Burlington Coat Factory and their beauty section. I don’t normally go to this area but it seemed like they have some cool stuff that needs to be seen.

Now, during my digging with all the “never been seen before” goods, this Paris Hilton Strobing Kit popped up and yup! I took this beauty home without hesitation. This was the last kit around so I thought ehh.. why not? it only cost me $4.99.

But before we get into this kit, let me share with you a little bit about strobing. I Know.. I know.. I am not a beauty guru and most importantly, I am not a Contouring or Strobing Expert either. So, I found the coolest and easiest way to share this process with you.

Per Cosmopolitan:

Strobing Is the New Contouring.

What is strobing, you ask? It’s a fun term for highlighting, basically. Forget everything you learned about contouring (it was hard to master, anyway). Extra highlighting will give you a dewy, shimmery, more youthful glow. But because “dewy” can turn into “sweaty” super-quick, here are a few tips to keep you on the right track.

Here’s How to Do It Without Looking Like a Hot Mess.

1. Prep your skin with a hydrating moisturizer.

2. Use a highlighter shade that best matches your skin tone.

3. Only use the highlighter in spots that catch light

4. After you’ve applied the highlighter, blend it out with your fingers, a fan brush, or a damp makeup sponge.

5. If you have oily skin, opt for matte bronzer, blush, or other facial products, and only use a shimmery highlighter.

Now, on with this Paris Hilton Strobing Kit.

The packaging is presentable at first glance and that is probably the reason why it immediately caught my attention. It’s made out of cardboard (I believe) but in a classy way (perhaps Paris Hilton made sure that this won’t look cheap) and it’s actually pretty well made. I tried looking for a link on this product but I didn’t have any luck so let me walk you through this instead.

This kit comes with six pretty shades, it’s NOT highly pigmented but it’s not too bad either. For beginners and if you are still practicing the “strobing technique” then this is definitely a great starter kit.

This palette reminds me so much of the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Blush Palette. I mean just visually inspired but 100% different in price point and it’s quality of course.

What I’m pleased about this $4.99 palette is that, they are wearable. The first shade (1) is a little bit powdery but very much tolerable (I can actually skip that shade if I want to). If you can see clearly on the swatches, you barely see some products around the strikes.. they are soft and smooth which applies easily on your skin.

Infact, I used shade “3 “as an eyeshadow, it’s a gold shade which I love and it blends really well too. While shade “2” is such a beautiful highlighter with a very subtle shimmer that is great for an everyday wear.

I can also see myself reaching for these three shades right here , most especially the blushes “5” and “6“.

Shades 5 & 6 are surprisingly pigmented with such a gorgeous color that’s great for the spring season.

I was browsing for product reviews and link on this palette but I couldn’t find one but instead I found her Instagram link with this post. I guess this Paris Hilton Cosmetics Line is new? Is it cruelty-free? I hope so! 🙂

Would I recommend this Paris Hilton Strobing Kit? Yes! without a doubt. For the price of $4.99 and a decent quality? why not!

What do think? Have you heard about this palette too?

How about a little Essence…

ESSENCE WAS STARTED IN 2001 BY CHRISTINA, A FEARLESS ENTREPRENEURIAL WOMAN, WHO WANTED TO MAKE A DIFFERENT COSMETICS BRAND – A REALLY FUN BRAND THAT OFFERS BOTH GREAT QUALITY AND EXCELLENT PRICES.

I’m sure it’s not new to you that I love me my essence LashMania mascara and the essence Silky Touch blush too! So I had to explore and found a few more. (Isn’t that a rhyme? HAHA)

“Soft as silk! The Silky Touch Blush has an ultra silky texture that blends evenly and easily. Add a touch of natural freshness and radiance to your complexion. Available in four glowing shades”

I am in-love with this essence SILKY TOUCH BLUSH not just because of it’s affordability ($2.99), but because of its formulation. From the name itself Silky Touch, this blush is very soft, highly pigmented and super smooth. With just a tiny product on the tip of your blush brush, you will definitely have a naturally glowing cheeks.

Shades:

  1. Adorable (10)
  2. Babydoll (20)
  3. Life’s a Cherry (60)
  4. Autumn Peach (80)

It’s unfortunate that my favorite essence LashMania mascara might have been discontinued. I had to search the web and found this site indianproductsonnet that sells essence LashMania mascara for $21.95 each?!? aahhmm no thanks!! LOL

I found the ALL EYES ON ME MASCARA with high hopes. It cost me $2.99 at Target as well as on their site

The brush is very different from what I’m used to. It has a short brush, tiny and thin. This makes it easier to reach those bottom lashes, buildable and applies smoothly. I’ve tried this a few times and so far I’m impressed!

VERDICT:

  • Volume √
  • Holds the curl √
  • No fall-outs nor flakes √
  • Smudge proof √
  • No clumps √
  • Ophthalmologically approved √
  • Affordable √
  • Lengthening – OK (not a show-stopping-length but not disappointing)
  • Waterproof – No – (but it stays on really really well and very easy to remove)
  • Great for an everyday look √

Eyeliner?!? I am still looking for the perfect eyeliner that is WATERPROOF, SMUDGE PROOF and AFFORDABLE  too!

This EASY 2 USE JUMBO EYELINER has a large tapered felt tip which is great for your ideal cat-eye look.

You can do a thin or thick line on your lid depending on your mood.

VERDICT:

  • Waterproof √ (literally WATERproof)
  • SMUDGE PROOF √ (Smudge proof on WATER or on dry surface of your skin)
  • Affordable √
  • Good for OILY EYELID down

Would I recommend this EASY 2 USE JUMBO EYELINER? If you have an oily eyelid like me, I will never recommend this at all. This eyeliner melted on my lid on my first application and with one swipe, it vanished. I have read mixed reviews on this eyeliner and majority of the reviews are down. BUT! If you don’t have an oily eyelid then you might want to give this a try. I washed my hand after I swatched this and it stayed on like a glue! (I will share a quick video on Instagram showing this eyeliner on my hand)

To sum it all, I still love the essence Silky Touch Blush and the All Eyes On Me MascaraEssence Cosmetics are not tested on animals, majority of their products are made in Europe with a very high quality in a super affordable price.

If you want to know more about essence Cosmetics click HERE, reading their story is very uplifting and it makes want to support them even more.

Any eyeliner recommendation guys?

If you’ve followed me on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook I’m sure you saw my early Valentine’s Day surprise that my hubby sent at my workplace last Friday. He knew that I  won’t be expecting any flowers from him because I am not a huge fan of flowers/bouquet  (I felt like they’re a waste of money coz they die so easily not unless those that are planted) BUT! honestly.. I was very SURPRISED! Look how pretty those Tulips are?? It definitely gave me some giggles when I saw them (he for sure got me on this one!) and OH! it came with chocolates too but they are long gone… HAHA
