Play! by Sephora (October)

Woohoo.. we’re getting closer! Now this is my October box and I’ve never been this happy for a $10.00 monthly subscription.

These products were tested vigorously so I’ll be able to share a fair and honest review. Now, let me show you what I got.

BECCA First Light Priming Filter Face Primer ($38.00)

Amazing product! Very easy to blend, super lightweight, kept my skin smooth and it helps my makeup looking fresh. I only use just a tiny amount and never a dull moment with this face primer. Highly recommended!

MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation ($43.00)

I received a full-size of this Make Up For Ever foundation courtesy of Influenster and until now, I am still in the fence to whether I like it or not. For some reason, this foundation is not matte and not dewy either but instead this made my skin oily. I know a lot of you loves this foundation but, I’m still trying different ways on how to make this foundation work on my skin.

On the other note, this foundation is very lightweight and it blends easily. I just don’t think this lasts long on my skin. I received the shade Ivory but it’s too light on my skin so I mix it with other foundation to match my skin tone. This is medium to full coverage, its buildable which is good too.

LAURA MERCIER Translucent Loose Setting Powder ($38.00)

Who’s not familiar with this translucent loose setting powder from Laura Mercier? If you’re not then I guess it’s time for you to head out and try this beauty. I’ve always been a fan of this loose setting powder but I haven’t used it for quite a while since we have more options especially at the drugstore. But this is one of the most lightweight, natural looking and easy to apply loose powder that I’ve ever tried and this helps my foundation last longer and keeps my skin shine-free. I was so happy to receive this sample size loose setting powder so I can have it in my makeup bag at anytime.

COVER FX Custom Enhancer Drops ($42.00)

Finally!!! I’ve always wanted to try this infamous custom enhancer drops from Cover FX but I didn’t have the courage to purchase one. Now, thankfully I received a sample from this month’s bag and oh boy! this formula is gorgeous. I got the shade  Moonlight – imparts a soft, silver glow and it’s so easy to blend, super blinding and a drop definitely goes a long way.

MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Skin Booster ($41.00)

This skin booster is nice, it absorbs quickly when applied leaving my skin feeling smooth and soft. I noticed that this serum feels warm on the skin during application but its definitely moisturizing which is good. Just perfect for this weather since my skin has been feeling dry lately.

Have you guys tried this skin booster?

Bonus Fragrance

CHANEL GABRIELLE CHANEL Eau de Parfum ($105.00)

I always look forward to the bonus fragrance in my monthly bag, this way I get to check which perfume I get to add to my list. Now, call me crazy but I am not a huge Chanel perfume person, they’re just too strong and too mature for my taste. I only have one scent on my list from Chanel but still not very convinced to purchase it and that’s CHANEL COCO MADEMOISELLE Eau de Parfum.

This Gabrielle Chanel Eau de Parfum on the other hand smells really pretty and feminine. It’s florally but very subtle and not overwhelming. I just sprayed a tiny bit and this sits on my skin or clothes really nicely, it lingers well and I’m sure you will enjoy this type of scent too. I highly suggest you check this out!

Scent Type:
Classic Florals

Key Notes:
Jasmine, Orange Blossom, Grasse Tuberose, Ylang-Ylang

And that’s it! Let me know if you’ve tried any of the products in this bag and care to share what you guys think?

Play! by Sephora (August)

I know.. I know.. another SUPER late post here. But I’m just catching up so I thought I’d still share. I didn’t want to skip a month so please bear with me. I’ve been so preoccupied lately with work and just finishing my house projects, as well as family visiting so it’s definitely crazy and fun at the same time.

But before we proceed, I just want to let you know that my August box for some reason didn’t come in the mail so I had to wait until I received them in September.

So without further adieu, let’s proceed! Continue reading “Play! by Sephora (August)”

Bath & Body Works Wallflower mini-haul

Hello… I’m back! I was invisible for three weeks due to my crazy schedule at work and other personal stuff and was sick too so I didn’t get the chance to share a post. But, I’ll try to get back on track and be more consistent with my posts (hopefully)☺️.

To start the week, let me jump into a quick mini-haul, so without further adieu let’s get started. Continue reading “Bath & Body Works Wallflower mini-haul”
