COVERGIRL Ready, Set Gorgeous Concealer

Brand Focus_Fotor

Two of my favorite concealers are Rimmel Match Perfection 2-In-1 Concealer And Highlighter  and Maybelline New York Fit Me! Concealerso it’s really hard for me to try something new. They have been my go-to concealers for a good number of years now and by far and still my favorites to date.

While browsing the makeup aisle at Walmart (yes! Walmart again..LOL), I noticed a new product from Covergirl (not sure if they are new but new to me anyway) and thought why not give it a try!

COVERGIRL Ready, Set Gorgeous Concealer quickly conceals dark circles and imperfections with its lightweight formula that blends easily. It adapts to your skin tone for a natural, no-makeup look. This oil-free concealer does not clog pores, and it is suitable for sensitive skin.

COVERGIRL Ready, Set Gorgeous Concealer, 0.37 Fl Oz:

  • Lightweight formula blends easily
  • Easy to apply and lasts all day
  • Oil free and does not clog pores
  • Dark circle concealer erases the appearance of imperfections

This COVERGIRL Ready, Set Gorgeous Concealer cost me $5.94 and I picked-up the shade FAIR just to be on the safe side. I wasn’t sure what to expect about this concealer so I kept my fingers crossed on this one.

This concealer does have a sponge-tipped wand for easy application. It applies smoothly and blends easily with a damped makeup sponge. This shade does have a pink undertone and helps brighten those areas that you would like to enhance. It comes in different shade options, from fair to light and medium to deep shades too.

However, I don’t think this concealer is great in hiding those dark circles. It doesn’t provide a flawless finish after application. It can get a little patchy after a while especially when you apply powder for a quick retouch.

My thoughts on this COVERGIRL Ready, Set Gorgeous Concealer?

PROS:

  • Affordable
  • Great shade options
  • Lightweight
  • Easy to blend
  • Did not clog my pores (definitely no break out moments) which is AMAZING
  • Sponge-tipped wand (for easy application)
  • Good for brightening

CONS:

  • Owned by Procter & Gamble and I found out that THEY TEST ON ANIMALS down
  • Did not provide a flawless finish
  • Tends to get a little patchy
  • Not a good product to cover dark circles or blemishes

Will I repurchase this COVERGIRL Ready, Set Gorgeous Concealer? Unfortunately, NO! Again, this  review is based on my personal experience with this product and I’m sure to some, this concealer will work beautifully. I am positive that this will work great on those that have a perfect skin and doesn’t need to hide some impurities.

Have you guys tried this concealer? What do you think?
