I am back with another HASK Hair Care Collection review and this time, it is all about the HASK Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection Hair Care Collection.

Here’s an overview for you!

Get ready for a really good hair day with HASK Kalahari Melon Oil collection!

What if we told you the secret to preserving and nurturing color-treated hair comes from the desert? It’s true, and HASK bottled it up in the Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection collection! The line features a Shampoo, Conditioner, Deep Conditioner and Shine Oil all formulated with Color Shield Complex, which helps protect color-treated hair from damage and fading caused by every day washing and heat styling.
Found in the African desert, the kalahari melon thrives by retaining moisture in the driest conditions. This powerhouse ingredient counteracts moisture loss and fading, leaving color-treated hair healthy and vibrant. Don’t damage your hair or your wallet with endless trips to the salon, add HASK Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection collection to your routine for unbeatable color retention!

The products!

This collection comes with of course, shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, hair oil treatment and a hair brush.

Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection Shampoo
Shields and Replenishes
Free of: sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, drying alcohol and artificial colors

My thoughts:

I was hoping that this will blow my mind since I have a color treated hair. I was so excited to hop into the shower and put this shampoo to the test. This shampoo is a bit runny and didn’t lather smoothly, the scent is too strong (not a fan). Luckily this shampoo is really bubbly that makes it fun to use while in the shower. My hair feels clean and noticed some shine. I’ve been using this for at least a month now, however I would say that there are other shampoos for color treated hair that works so much better than this.

My thoughts:

First thing that I noticed the moment I used this conditioner is the scent. I am not a fan of the scent on either the shampoo or the conditioner. I thought it would be fruity (since it’s Melon) or pleasantly mild but it’s just a bit too strong for me that it lingers all day. I’m sure to some they’ll find the smell fascinating but unfortunately not for me. I had to mix another conditioner with this product to help detangle my hair gently and to keep them soft and smooth after lather. Sad to say but nothing stands-out with this conditioner at all. I would prefer the other HASK conditioners I have, than this.

My thoughts:

This deep conditioner claims to be hydrating and nourishing as well as counteracts dry-out and fading. After using the entire sachet on my hair, it did leave my hair moisturized and smooth. I noticed that my hair color came out more vibrant and shiny than usual. But just like the shampoo and conditioner, the scent bothered me so much (I’m sorry but really..not a huge fan here).

My thoughts:

The only product is this collection that I enjoyed the most. This oil treatment leaves my hair really soft, shiny and manageable. It may be oil based but it’s super lightweight and non greasy. The scent is really mild and doesn’t linger which is great! It can be used on dry or wet hair.

And lastly, the hair brush!

Well, how else are you going to describe a hair brush? It helps detangle dry and damaged hair and a tool to style your hair as desired.

Final thoughts!

This HASK Kalahari Melon Oil Color Protection collection is my least favorite of all the HASK hair care collection that I’ve tried. I know this collection is for color treated hair (that’s me) but from the scent to the overall result is OK, nothing that screams “WOW” to me. I didn’t notice any difference on my hair at all. Though it’s made from amazing ingredients, this collection could have been better.

This review is based on my own experience and it doesn’t mean that I didn’t like this then you won’t like it too.

Oh my co-worker (male) even noticed the smell of my hair.. Asked what lotion I used.. That’s how strong it was.. Haha I will continue using this but mixed with other shampoo or conditioner to lessen the smell but will never purchase this again.

I love Pantene too! They are one of my go-to’s when I know I need a good one.. But Garnier Fructis condtioner is my favorite of all conditioners I’ve used ever.

Great! Glad I made someone happy and yes! The smell lingers but not the type of smell that I would love to linger around.. Let me know if you try them.. I want to know your thoughts too.☺️
