Happy Easter Everyone!

I hope you all are having a great time or have had a great time! Let me know how your Easter Sunday went? My Easter went by so fast..(yeah and I’m sure we all can agree to that..lol) I have no family around the area except for my hubby that is why we always make the most when we’re together. I miss my family back home and I miss celebrating special gatherings or holidays with them so much.
Today, we went to the mall and watched Fast and Furious 7. I love this movie so much and I’ve seen them all from One to Seven. Sadly, Paul Walker passed away so I guess there won’t be any more Fast and Furious. I heard a critic on the radio saying that this movie is Good but not Great! I Disagree big time… I love action films especially if the actors are  on my list and this I would say, is one of the best action film out there. Even though Paul Walker didn’t get the chance to finish the movie, you won’t notice his absence in some scenes  and they did a great job in keeping him visible the whole time. If however, you are not aware that he passed away then you won’t notice his absence at all.

To rate this movie, I would give it a 9. Why? because it’s star studded.

Vin DieselPaul WalkerMichelle RodriguezLudacrisTyrese Gibson and you add Dwayne Johnson “The Rock” plus Jason Statham what else could you ask for in a movie right? The only thing I didn’t like is that they missed to show something (I don’t want to be a spoiler) but overall it’s great and not a waste of time and definitely not a waste of money. 🙂
After the movie, we went around the mall but shockingly enough the stores in the mall are all closed! I didn’t know that they closed on Easter Sunday! haha I guess I’ve never been to the mall during Easter Sunday huh.. Because back home (Philippines) the mall is open on a Sunday. So, we ended up going somewhere and looked for an open restaurant but I unfortunately, only Denny’s is there to accommodate people who are too lazy to cook on Easter Sunday (that’s me!!! 😛 ).
IMG_0981I had my favorite pancake puppies and I tried their new flavor which is the “Tropical Pancake Puppies” (Bite-sized round Pancake Puppies made with pineapple-coconut and white chocolate chips. Sprinkled with powdered sugar and served with a side of cream cheese icing for dipping).

and paired it with a yummy

FullSizeRender“Brooklyn Spaghetti & Meatballs” (Three seasoned meatballs atop a bed of pasta covered in a rich, meaty tomato sauce. Served with a side of shredded Italian cheeses and garlic).
We had a really wonderful Easter SunDate and I guess there’s also an advantage when the stores are closed right? it’s because I didn’t get to shop for myself this time! haha.. Isn’t that a good thing? 🙂
So yeah! I hope I didn’t make you hungry with my post today and I’m sure you also had some great, scrumptious, yummylicious food shared with your family and friends.
One last thing, this post won’t be complete without my OOTD! 😛

If only…😳

We went to Denny’s Diner for a quick bite and while waiting for our order, I was checking the decors on the wall and one definitely caught my eyes. A picture frame that features how much their steak used to be.. I was amazed of how cheap it was and I’m pretty sure the quality of the meat was also great unlike nowadays (well, depending on how much you pay or where you go)..😱

I just couldn’t help but think…IF ONLY we can turn back time..

The Beauty of Nature!😍

Before I say goodnight ..I just want to share the beauty of nature that some parts of the world do not see regularly. Some may say it’s too much, others wish to experience them and I am just lucky enough to be able to live in a place with four seasons..namely Winter️️❄️Spring, Summer☀️and Fall..
Let’s appreciate the gift of life and the gift of nature that we all have received because we never know what our future holds..

Have a Blessed time ya’ll! 👍😊🙏😘

National Wear Red Day! 2/06/2015

Every year, our organization participates in the National Wear Red Day and I am proud to say that it’s my 3rd year to participate in this awareness on Heart Disease. In return you get to take home a red dress pin to spread this awareness.icon_dress

It’s not just a man’s disease. Each year, 1 in 3 women die of heart disease and stroke. But we can change that because 80 percent of cardiac events can be prevented with education and lifestyle changes.

When it comes to beating heart disease and stroke, change can be the cure. To save lives and raise awareness of this serious issue, the American Heart Association launched Go Red For Women. And the red dress has become the iconic symbol of our battle against heart disease and stroke in women.

National Wear Red Day® — the first Friday each February — is our special day to bring attention to this staggering fact. We encourage everyone to wear red, raise their voices, know their cardiovascular risk and take action to live longer, healthier lives.

A Decade of Success

Since the first National Wear Red Day in 2003, we’ve made tremendous strides in the fight against heart disease and stroke in women. Through research and education to healthy lifestyle changes, we’re proud that:

  • Nearly 90% have made at least one healthy behavior change.
  • More than one-third has lost weight.
  • More than 50% have increased their exercise.
  • 6 out of 10 have changed their diets.
  • More than 40% have checked their cholesterol levels.
  • One third has talked with their doctors about developing heart health plans.
  • Today, nearly 300 fewer women die from heart disease and stroke each day
  • Death in women has decreased by more than 30 percent over the past 10 years.
