Let’s talk Simple…

Skincare

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a post about my Skincare Routine. If you’ve followed my journey you know how I struggled in finding the best facial products for my sensitive skin.

There are some products from Simple that I no longer use, while some stayed and have discovered something new.

First, let me re-introduce those that have stayed.

When my skin is feeling dull and needed some exfoliating, SIMPLE EXFOLIATING FACIAL WIPES is my answer. I love how gentle this wipes are and it definitely exfoliates my skin well leaving it clean and clear again. It has a resealable pack to keep the wipes moist, very convenient for travelling and it smells really clean and fresh. It comes with 25 wipes in one pack and this retails for $4.78 at Walmart.

Simple goodness

2 added vitamins: Pro-Vitamin B5 known to help restore, soften and smooth; Vitamin E known to moisturize and improve skin condition

1 skin-loving ingredient: Aloe vera known to soothe and condition

  • No dyes
  • No artificial perfumes
  • No harsh irritants to upset skin
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Ophthalmologist tested
  • Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic

To keep my skin hydrated and moisturized, SIMPLE REPLENISHING RICH MOISTURIZER is my go-to product. It’s non-sticky or thick in consistency and it absorbs easily on your skin which is great. It does have a “not-so flattering” scent but it’s tolerable because the smell doesn’t stay on your skin that long nor it lingers which is good. I just apply a dime sized amount onto my face and down to my neck to balance the moisture and that’s it! I am ready to apply my make-up. This retails for $5.97 at Walmart.

Simple goodness

1 added vitamin: Pro-Vitamin B5 known to help restore, soften and smooth

3 skin-loving ingredients: Chamomile known to help gently soften and soothe; Glycerin hydrates and nourishes;Geranium

  • No dyes
  • No artificial perfumes
  • No harsh irritants to upset skin
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic

I’m sure sure you’ve seen this SIMPLE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER a few times on my posts and this Micellar water is great! It feels comfortable on the skin, it doesn’t feel sticky or “yucky”. It cleanses and keeps my skin hydrated too. Just like the moisturizer, it does have a slight scent to it as well (light earthy smell) it’s hard to describe but again it doesn’t bother me because the smell goes away so quickly. This retails for $5.97 at Walmart and the size of this bottle is pretty good too for what it’s worth.

Simple goodness:

Triple Purified Water: Our purest possible water to minimize potential for irritation from particles or contaminants that can irritate skin.

Vitamin B3: Known to restore, soften and smooth skin. It’s especially great for those with dry skin.

Vitamin C: A water soluble antioxidant vitamin for skin.

Hexylene Glycol: Helps dissolve makeup and kindly conditions the skin

And last but not the least, let me introduce the newest member of my Simple family.

I’ve used this for a few months now and have repurchased this several times. I love this SIMPLE MICELLAR MAKEUP REMOVER WIPES more than the SIMPLE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATERI like that I don’t need to use cotton pads (I get skin irritation sometimes if I use cotton pads) and the wipes itself is very smooth. The scent is more pleasant than the water and I don’t find this messy too. Very convenient to carry around and it has a resealable pack that helps the wipes moist all the time. It removes my make-up easily in just one wipe (I mean if you have a full on makeup then I guess you need more than one) it feels really light and fresh on the skin. It consist of 25 wipes and similar to the ones mentioned above, this cost me $5.97 at Walmart.

Simple goodness:

SKIN LOVING INGREDIENTS

  • Vitamin B – Known to restore, soften and smooth skin.
  • Vitamin E – Known to improve skin’s condition by replenishing and moisturizing
  • Triple-purified water – Is our purest possible water, that helps minimize the risk of irritations.
  • No alcohol, no oil – Means that skin feels clean and hydrated, not dry or greasy.
  • No artificial perfume or color – That might upset your skin making it perfect for even sensitive skin.
  • Micelles – Our clever cleansing bubbles which are smart enough to attract and lift make-up and impurities out of your skin without leaving it dry or tight.

What adores me the most with Simple Skincare products is that, they are very gentle on my super sensitive skin. It is Hypoallergenic, it also consists of some vitamins to keep your skin healthy and smooth and they are made from all natural ingredients which is safe for everyone to use (I am not concerned about the scent as it’s very tolerable, I’m sure to some the smell is nothing but I am just very sensitive to anything that’s why I noticed it immediately) AND of course.. very affordable too and can be found at any drugstores near you. 🙂

Collab: $20 Makeup Haul Challenge

A few weeks back I thought why not do a “$20 Makeup Haul Tag” so I decided to tweet about it and luckily, one of our WordPress buddies Stash Matters (Thanks Stashywanted to do this tag with me or else, I will be doing a Makeup Haul Tag all by myself.. HAHA is that even possible??😂

Anyway, I am so excited to share with you what I bought with my $20 dollars (tax excluded) mainly makeup products no skincare or etc. Fortunately, I received an awesome deals from CVS Pharmacy which made my purchases even more exciting!

So without further adieu let’s begin.

BH Cosmetics Sculpt and Blend Set

If you’ve seen my previous post on What I got for Valentines Day?!? you will understand why I couldn’t resist purchasing this new makeup brush set. I have my eyes on so many makeup brushes out there but I have never really thought of which particular brand I would go for. Some of the brushes that I would really want to have are SigmaMorphe and on the cheaper line Wet n Wild and if you’re wondering why WnW when there are more better than that, probably because they look beautiful? ❤

Anyway, after I received my Valentine’s Day presents we went to Marshalls to purchase one specific item for my heat styling tools. But while I was waiting in line and standing in the “aisle of doom” I noticed this one last box of BH Cosmetics Sculpt and Blend (10 piece) Brush Set and immediately I went and grabbed them. I’ve heard and read great reviews about BH Cosmetics especially their makeup line (another item on my wishlist) so without second thoughts, they all came home with me AND I thought they are just perfect for my new eyeshadow and blush palettes too.

I will break this post into two parts so we will be able to focus a little better. 🙂

Look how beautiful these brushes are! ❤

I love the black and gold detail on these brushes, they are also vegan, cruelty free synthetic brushes, very high-quality and lightweight but very sturdy too. I’ve used a few of these brushes already and they feel so smooth, it didn’t shed, it picked up the products nicely and very affordable too. I paid $16.99 for this 10-piece set. So if you are on a budget I highly recommend that you to check out BH Cosmetics Brushes.

Now, let’s talk about each of these brushes shall we?

Description:

An artist is only as good as her tools, and our 10-piece Sculpt and Blend Brush Set is the ultimate toolkit for foolproof contouring, shading and illuminating your features. The elegant black and gold, dual-fiber collection — specially crafted for applying liquids, creams and powders — includes five face brushes and five  detailing brushes, making it easy to define your jawline, slim your nose, and create killer cheekbones, as well as highlight around eyes, fake fuller lips, and blend for a soft, seamless look. You’re ready for your close-up!

113 – Round Blending Face Brush is great for liquid foundations. If you want a very subtle airbrush effect then a round blending brush is definitely what you need. This is also ideal for loose or pressed formulas as this will really mix and blend the products well on your skin.

114 – Angled Blending Face Brush I would say is good for any powder or pressed products like blushes or bronzers. You can also use this to contour due to its slim shape, this will really hug the angles of your face or the hollows of your cheekbones.

115 – Tapered Contouring Face Brush and just by looking at the brush itself, you can immediately tell that this is great for bronzers, blush or even highlighters and because of its precise tip it can easily reach the tight areas of your face like around the nose or even on your cupids bow. This brush is also perfect for contouring.

116 – Flat Blending Face Brush is awesome for liquid or cream products. With it’s dual-fiber bristles it picks-up and holds the liquid or cream products really well.

117 – Angled Contouring Face Brush is probably my favorite of them all. It has both flat and angled shaped brush that can be used in so many ways. You can use this when applying either liquid or powder foundation, cream or powder blushes or bronzers and even good for contouring or blending your makeup and will still give you that flawless finish.

Instagram update!

What’s New on Instagram?

I don’t know about you guys, but I do have two separate Facebook and Instagram Accounts. The reason being is that, only few of my friends and family are aware of me blogging that’s why I prefer to separate my Personal Account from my Blogging Account.

Just yesterday, I noticed that Instagram has a New and Cool feature which makes it easier for people with multiple accounts to switch from one account to the other. Continue reading “Instagram update!”

Happy Anniversary?!

OK! please be ready to spare some of your time for this post as it’s going to be a looongg one! But I’ll try to make it shorter..if I can. 🙂

I joined WordPress back in 2008. Yup in 2008! However, I had no idea how to navigate WordPress at that time as they had such a complicated menus or even limited themes to choose from. Bottomline, it wasn’t that user friendly.

As far as I can remember I wrote something about my Life Journey in which I discovered seven years later that it wasn’t even published. HAHA

So back in January 27 of 2015, I’ve decided to do something else so I thought why not start a blog? I then remembered I had WordPress! I immediately grabbed my phone (Thank you to smart phones, it made everything so easy and accessible) and logged-in to WordPress.com and wow! my account is still active. No views or visitors though..(LOL)  My account name back then was Capricorn (don’t ask me why-LOL) so I immediately changed my name to FilipinoInsideOut and again (don’t ask me why) OK, OK maybe because I’m a Filipino Inside and Out!? Or should I say, I was born and raised in the Philippines?? LOL 😛

Anyway, to make this long story short I then wrote my very first post without even knowing that I will enjoy and continue writing and sharing different ideas up to present. Here’s my very first and official blog post Oh! How I Love Monday..😍 The moment I hit the “publish” button, it actually felt good. So, I then wrote my second, 3rd and so on. If you’re interested to know more on How Did I End Up Blogging click HERE

And that is the reason why I considered January 27, 2015 as my Blog Anniversary because it all started that day! ❤

Please allow me to quickly share my blog insights.

  • Zero views from 2008-2014.
  • I’ve shared 167 fun and not-so-fun posts from 2015 -2016.
  • A Huge Shout-Out to my top 5 viewers and of course to everyone from all over the world!
  • And surprisingly Thoughtful Wednesday! still has the Best Views Ever!

Furthermore,

After a couple of months of blogging, I’ve been contemplating of changing my name to something that suites best on what my posts are all about. However, I didn’t do it because “again” I never thought that I’ll continue blogging. Some of you have witnessed my journey and was with me from when I first started until this day and with that Thank you!

Now with all the grace and support that I received from everyone, and I know now what I’m passionate about, I am for sure considering of changing my account name. Something that’s been in my mind since forever but will still keep a part of FilipinoInsideOut. (stay tune for that)

Twelve months of blogging means twelve months of something!

I now have a clear vision of what I want and what I hope to achieve.

And after this long and boring story, I thought I’d share twelve (12) posts in twelve consecutive days (wish me luck!)… Nope! it’s definitely not 12 Days of Christmas! HAHA and hopefully I will be able to make this happen.

So what do you guys think? Am I just dreaming or you’ll agree with my Blog Anniversary date?

Thoughts???
