I am sharing my top five most used items for the month of January and February. They have been worn almost every single day. I don’t wear too much makeup when I’m at work because I’m always in a rush majority of the time. So these products were there to comfort me for the past two months. Polish of the week!

logo

I cannot believe that my last Polish of the Week post was back in July but that doesn’t mean that I haven’t played with my nails since then. However, I’ve been collecting nail polishes since the beginning of this year so I thought I’d start using them and see which of them gets to the top of my list.

Wet N’ Wild makeup is one of my favorite drugstore brands to date. I love the MegaLast Lip Color so much as well as their Color Icon Blushes, MegaGlo Highlight, makeup brushes and more.

Wet N’ Wild also carries nail polishes and have tried a few. I wasn’t impressed with the Wild Shine Nail Color though their color range is beautiful. They didn’t last that long on my nails, chipped after couple of days but that didn’t stop me from trying more of their new releases.

Now, this week’s nail polish is from their MegaLast Nail Color collection in the shade “Wet Cement”. I really like the formulation of this nail polish, it only takes two coats and I’m all set. It’s also quick dry which makes it even better so I didn’t have to waste time while waiting for my nails to dry. Continue reading “Polish of the week!”

Wet N’ Wild (mini-haul)

Mini-Haul_Fotor

Here is a quick mini-haul post for you guys!

Lately, I have been collecting more beauty products to add to my collection. And one of those products happened to be from my all time favorite drugstore brands Wet N’ Wild Beauty.

I had to scout all Walgreens Pharmacy here in Albany, New York just to be able to lay my hands on the Wet N Wild Brushes. However, I didn’t have any luck in finding one but instead, I found one at Walmart and I found the rest at Rite Aid Pharmacy (weird) as I thought these brushes are exclusively sold at Walgreens.

Anyway, let’s get started!

I have been eyeing on these brushes since they were launched but I didn’t feel like purchasing them online. Aside from it’s always sold-out, the shipping is actually more expensive than the brushes itself. But because I believe in the saying that “Patience is a Virtue” then yes! I finally laid my hands on some of them. 🙂 I got five brushes which to me are the most essential brushes for my day-to-day makeup application.

These brushes are super soft and very affordable too. I paid $2.99 each for the Powder and Foundation brushes while $0.99 each for the Large Eyeshadow brush, Small Eyeshadow brush and Small Concealer brush.

Below is a closer look of how beautiful these brushes are.

Moving on, since I have a super sensitive skin I was really hesitant in trying out any setting spray that is available in the market. However, because of all the buzz and it’s ingredients, I had to try this product myself.

This Photo Focus Setting Spray is amazing! They did not irritate my skin at all. It’s very refreshing when you spray them on your face right after you apply your makeup. It gives you this smooth, non-cakey result and it does keep your face shine free throughout the day.

Description: Lights, camera, action! This exclusive formula extends makeup wear by preventing cracking, smudging, fading, or creasing. Works with any makeup and all skin types, plus it has aloe to hydrate your skin. One step, perfect! – See more at: http://www.wetnwildbeauty.com/face/primer/photo-focustm-setting-spray.html#sthash.seywdxzK.dpuf

I love the scent of this Photo Focus Setting Spray. It’s very subtle, fresh and clean. I am also impressed with the “sprayer” on this bottle as it does spray evenly like a mist and not a “squirt” (if you know what I mean). I paid $4.99 for this at CVS Pharmacy.

Ingredients: Water/Eau, Alcohol Denat., PVP, Propanediol, PPG-3 Benzyl Ether Myristate, Dimethicone PEG/PPG-12/4 Phosphate, Glycereth-5 Lactate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Chlorphenesin, Ethylhexyl Isononanoate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Poloxamer 127, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Fragrance/Parfum. – See more at: http://www.wetnwildbeauty.com/face/primer/photo-focustm-setting-spray.html#sthash.seywdxzK.dpuf

Lastly, I couldn’t resist myself but I had to grab two of the Wet n Wild Color Icon Ombre Blusher which you can only find at Target.

Look how pretty these blushes are! As always, they are very pigmented, lightweight and buildable, the packaging is elegant for the price of $4.99 and the color payoff is just beautiful. You can also use this as an eyeshadow if you like (Isn’t it cool?).

I purchased the shades The Princess Daiquiries and In A Purple Haze.

Swatches…

In A Purple Haze is probably my favorite as it’s more on the “peachy” or “corally” shade that is just right up my alley. However, The Princess Daiquiries is also gorgeous and wearable but I haven’t really used this a lot as I kept on reaching for the shade In A Purple Haze the most.

And there you have it!

Have you guys tried any of these beauties?
