Nail Polish Remover Review…

Brand Focus_Fotor

Every time I clean my nails, I always wonder what kind of nail polish remover do you guys use? Do you have a preference? Is it expensive? Scented? Unscented? that’s just few of what’s going on in my mind when I smell a polish remover.

So this time, I thought I’d share a quick post on what nail polish remover I like and dislike. I have two brands to talk about and both products are available at Walmart.

First nail polish remover I have is from the brand called Equate. Incase you don’t know,

The Equate brand is the name of Walmart’s private-label line of health and personal care products. Equate’s over-the-counter healthcare and nutritional products are made by Perrigo Company plc, a leading global healthcare manufacturer and supplier that specializes in the store brand market.

this is 100% acetone and is 6fl. oz for only $.93 which is very affordable. I picked this up on a whim because I couldn’t find the nail polish remover that I was looking for.

Ingredients:

Acetone, Denatonium Benzoate.

  • Easily removes gel nail polish, nail polish strips, artificial nails and glitter polish
  • Professional strength
  • Quick, mess-free and portable
  • 6 fl oz of 100% acetone nail polish remover per order
  • Built-in brush to lift away artificial nails
  • Helps soften cuticles while strengthening nails

This comes in two varieties like;

  • Non-Acetone Nail Polish Remover
  • Nourishing Nail Polish Remover

This Equate nail polish remover does removes nail polish easily and it smells like pure acetone (no more- no less).

please excuse my nails…I purposely left my nails/nail polish this way to see how long my nail polish will last and this is actually it’s sixth week.

The only downside of this nail polish remover is that, it left my nails feeling dry and delicate. As you can see on the photo, it also left a white mark on my nails after cleaning them off.

And that led me to my next nail polish remover…

This is from the brand calledĀ Onyx Professional Salon Formula Strawberry Scent Nail Polish Remover.Ā It cost $2.48 and is 16fl oz, which is a huge bottle that will definitely last longer.

Ingredients:

Acetone, Water, Triclosan, Fragrance, Denatonium Benzoate, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), FD&C Red 28.

  • Conditions nails with vitamin E
  • Onyx nail polish remover, 16 fl oz, is for natural nails
  • Anti-bacterial
  • Used by professionals

They come in differentĀ varieties like;

  • 100% Pure Acetone
  • Soak Off Maximum Strength Gel Remover
  • Lavender Scent Moisturizing Formula
  • and more..

I really like this nail polish remover, it does an awesome job on removing the nail polish easily even the hardest nail products like glitter polish or glue (when I do some nail arts) leaving my nails feeling clean and happy. šŸ™‚

again.. please excuse this nails as they look really horrible.. hahaha

Another cool thing about this nail polish remover is the smell. ItĀ doesn’t smell like straight acetone and with a hint of strawberry scent too.

I have tried different kinds of nail polish removers in the past but I always go back toĀ Onyx Professional Salon Formula Strawberry Scent Nail Polish Remover.Ā I felt like my nails are safe and healthy when I use this brand.

What nail polish remover do you use? care to share?

      Yes! I’ve tried that too before and it’s really good but I rarely go to Sally’s and Walmart is more accessible to me so I got ONYX. It works really well. šŸ™‚
