Let’s talk Simple…

Skincare

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a post about my Skincare Routine. If you’ve followed my journey you know how I struggled in finding the best facial products for my sensitive skin.

There are some products from Simple that I no longer use, while some stayed and have discovered something new.

First, let me re-introduce those that have stayed.

When my skin is feeling dull and needed some exfoliating, SIMPLE EXFOLIATING FACIAL WIPES is my answer. I love how gentle this wipes are and it definitely exfoliates my skin well leaving it clean and clear again. It has a resealable pack to keep the wipes moist, very convenient for travelling and it smells really clean and fresh. It comes with 25 wipes in one pack and this retails for $4.78 at Walmart.

Simple goodness

2 added vitamins: Pro-Vitamin B5 known to help restore, soften and smooth; Vitamin E known to moisturize and improve skin condition

1 skin-loving ingredient: Aloe vera known to soothe and condition

  • No dyes
  • No artificial perfumes
  • No harsh irritants to upset skin
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Ophthalmologist tested
  • Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic

To keep my skin hydrated and moisturized, SIMPLE REPLENISHING RICH MOISTURIZER is my go-to product. It’s non-sticky or thick in consistency and it absorbs easily on your skin which is great. It does have a “not-so flattering” scent but it’s tolerable because the smell doesn’t stay on your skin that long nor it lingers which is good. I just apply a dime sized amount onto my face and down to my neck to balance the moisture and that’s it! I am ready to apply my make-up. This retails for $5.97 at Walmart.

Simple goodness

1 added vitamin: Pro-Vitamin B5 known to help restore, soften and smooth

3 skin-loving ingredients: Chamomile known to help gently soften and soothe; Glycerin hydrates and nourishes;Geranium

  • No dyes
  • No artificial perfumes
  • No harsh irritants to upset skin
  • Dermatologist tested
  • Hypoallergenic
  • Non-comedogenic

I’m sure sure you’ve seen this SIMPLE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATER a few times on my posts and this Micellar water is great! It feels comfortable on the skin, it doesn’t feel sticky or “yucky”. It cleanses and keeps my skin hydrated too. Just like the moisturizer, it does have a slight scent to it as well (light earthy smell) it’s hard to describe but again it doesn’t bother me because the smell goes away so quickly. This retails for $5.97 at Walmart and the size of this bottle is pretty good too for what it’s worth.

Simple goodness:

Triple Purified Water: Our purest possible water to minimize potential for irritation from particles or contaminants that can irritate skin.

Vitamin B3: Known to restore, soften and smooth skin. It’s especially great for those with dry skin.

Vitamin C: A water soluble antioxidant vitamin for skin.

Hexylene Glycol: Helps dissolve makeup and kindly conditions the skin

And last but not the least, let me introduce the newest member of my Simple family.

I’ve used this for a few months now and have repurchased this several times. I love this SIMPLE MICELLAR MAKEUP REMOVER WIPES more than the SIMPLE MICELLAR CLEANSING WATERI like that I don’t need to use cotton pads (I get skin irritation sometimes if I use cotton pads) and the wipes itself is very smooth. The scent is more pleasant than the water and I don’t find this messy too. Very convenient to carry around and it has a resealable pack that helps the wipes moist all the time. It removes my make-up easily in just one wipe (I mean if you have a full on makeup then I guess you need more than one) it feels really light and fresh on the skin. It consist of 25 wipes and similar to the ones mentioned above, this cost me $5.97 at Walmart.

Simple goodness:

SKIN LOVING INGREDIENTS

  • Vitamin B – Known to restore, soften and smooth skin.
  • Vitamin E – Known to improve skin’s condition by replenishing and moisturizing
  • Triple-purified water – Is our purest possible water, that helps minimize the risk of irritations.
  • No alcohol, no oil – Means that skin feels clean and hydrated, not dry or greasy.
  • No artificial perfume or color – That might upset your skin making it perfect for even sensitive skin.
  • Micelles – Our clever cleansing bubbles which are smart enough to attract and lift make-up and impurities out of your skin without leaving it dry or tight.

What adores me the most with Simple Skincare products is that, they are very gentle on my super sensitive skin. It is Hypoallergenic, it also consists of some vitamins to keep your skin healthy and smooth and they are made from all natural ingredients which is safe for everyone to use (I am not concerned about the scent as it’s very tolerable, I’m sure to some the smell is nothing but I am just very sensitive to anything that’s why I noticed it immediately) AND of course.. very affordable too and can be found at any drugstores near you. 🙂

How about you? have you tried any products from Simple?

Polish of the Week!

I love nail polishes, may it be name brand, drugstore or brand that you’ve never heard or seen before. For the past years, I’ve accumulated quite a lot but gave away a ton keeping the ones that I’ve reached the most. One of the few polishes I’ve kept is from the brand SinfulColors I purchased them at Walmart, they are pretty affordable and only cost $1.99 each.

I have  been doing my nails since forever and believe it or not, I’ve only been to a nail salon once. YES, just ONE TIME and that was a few hours before my flight coming here in the USA for the very first time (I ran out of time so I had to get it done quick). So, If you want to know how I take care of my nails, here is a link to my previous post Polish of the Week! and I still do the same exact step to date.

So, here are the things that I used for my nails/polish for this week.

  • Base Coat – OPI
  • Nail Polish/polishes
  • Nail Art and Dotting Tool
  • Top Coat – Rimmel London

I went shopping without any intention of purchasing another nail polish (will post a nail polish haul soon by the way) but SinfulColors just came out with their KYLIE JENNER Collection (NO I AM NOT A FAN OF THE JENNER/KARDASHIAN FAMILY) but the shade options on this collection are just beautiful that I had to pick one. This is called SINFULSHINE with Gel Tech (Gel Tech??) so that made me curious even more.

SinfulColors in Palm Breeze is one of my past purchases. I love the subtle shimmer effect on this nail polish and it’s quick dry too so that’s a huge plus for me. I picked to use this shade for this week as I cannot wait for spring and start wearing more bright or pastel colors.

SinfulShine in Slay Grey is from the Kylie Collection with a shimmering effect as well. It’s obviously in a nice silvery-grey shade which I can use as an accent or simply use this by itself.

So here’s what I came up with!

I don’t see any difference on the formulation on the SinfulCOLORS to the SinfulSHINE with Gel Tech collection. I couldn’t even see the “Gel” effect on this nail polish. However, both nail polishes are quick dry, it has a slight scent (typical nail polish scent) but it doesn’t linger and like I mentioned above, they have a WIDE variety of color selection.

“All made in the USA, with the quality you expect from a leading nail brand, without formaldehyde, toluene and DBP.”

If you want to know more about Formaldehyde click HERE, for Toluene click HERE and DBP (Dibutyl phthalate) click HERE.

I added a touch of bling to the nail just for fun! ❤

Perhaps, I would purchase a different color and apply multiple coats to see the “Gel Tech” effect that they’re talking about. HAHA

Have you guys tried this SinfulColors/SinfulShine nail polishes?
