Couple of weeks ago, I went beauty shopping “again ” 😛 but I’ve decided to divide my posts into three. This will include a quick product review as well.
Face tools that I recently purchased and immediately fell in love with. I am going to try to make this post short and hopefully fun at the same time. So! let’s get started.
With My FAVEuary! post, I mentioned that I love the Essential Tools brushes more than the Real Techniques brushes. They are just so soft and they doesn’t even have fall-outs.. if that’s even a proper word “fall-outs”.. If you haven’t tried them please do so. These brushes are so cheap and if you’re wondering where to find them, I purchased mine at Walmart. You guys might wonder why I mentioned Walmart a ton it’s because Walmart is closer to where I live and they are just very affordable too which is the most important of all. 🙂
I purchased two more brushes and they are the Deluxe Powder brush and the Smooth Coverage makeup brush.

Would You Rather Tag – Beauty Questions
Hi Guys! while browsing for some interesting posts from everyone, I saw this “Would You Rather Tag” post from DramaBeautyPop and I enjoyed reading the questions being asked. It’s really fun and it made me want to answer them too. I havent done any “tag questions” before so why not try it right? Now, there are 14 questions to answer to let’s get started!
1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
I am lazy most of the time so I would rather lose all but keep my lipstick on… 🙂
2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
I have always had a long hair and once in a few years I try to cut them off but I still like to go back having long hair. So my answer is, never be able to cut it again. You can do a lot with your long hair. 🙂
3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
I have tried both coral and pink shade but with my skin tone, I think.. I think.. Coral is touching this cheeks.. hehe
4. If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
wwooaahhh.. How I wish!!! but if I where to choose… Clothes maybe?? makeup instead?? hhmm.. OK Clothes..I would rather spend my money to buy clothes than makeup.
5. Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
HAHHAHHA!! this is craayyyy…. I can’t imagine using them either way.. but I think I would rather apply lipstick as eyeliner. I will have to make sure that I pick the right shade to match my eyes.. 🙂
6. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
I had an allergic reaction with MAC lipsticks few years ago so I would say SEPHORA ALL THE WAY!!!! 🙂
7. Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
This is easy.. One eyeshadow for the rest of my life because it’s so much fun to play with lip color.. especially nowadays, there are tonsss of lipsticks available everywhere with the color of your choice!
8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
It depends on where I live, but wearing summer clothes during winter here in Albany, NY is such a BAD IDEA! BAD!!! So I would rather wear winter clothes in summer I think it’s very doable?? 😛
9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
I have tons of nail polishes with different shades but I always go back to dark nails.. So, Dark Nails for my nails!!! 🙂
10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
I love lipsticks… With that said, eye product can go away!! (just for this post OK?haha)
11. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
I have been trying to wear a messy bun for a while now but I ended up going for a ponytail. PONYTAIL!!
12. Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
I am not a lipgloss kinda gal so you can have your lipgloss but I need me my nail polishes..♥ How can I post my Polish of the Week without painting them??HUHH! 😛
13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
I can’t imagine myself without eyebrows. I LOve my brows so much.. I have no problem with my brows at all.. I never needed to use any brow pencil nor brow makeup or something but if I need to choose.. Sharpie them in everyday I guess.. just make sure it won’t get wet when it rains or you won’t sweat and that sharpie will be all over your face foh shoh..hahaahahhhahha
14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
What A Question!! this is unfair..haha.. I can keep the makeup but I need to have my mani-pedi tools to keep my nails clean even without nail polish.. So, this means I would rather live without nail polish.. :)♠

Products that I used to Love..BUT….
Once upon a time, I was never really a fan of body butter until one day….
I went to the mall (YES! The Mall) and passed by Victoria’s Secret. I never was a huge fan of Victoria’s Secret products though I purchased their Fragrance Mist once in a while. My favorite scents are Amber Romance and Forbidden Fantasy. They just smell so good and the scent is just perfect.. Ok-Ok! back to the body butter. As I was checking some items in the store, this purple colored container caught my eyes. I immediately went and checked how they smell, oh boy! they smelled sooo good. I don’t know about you but most of the time when I buy lotion, shampoo, soap or anything that has scent, I always make use of my sense of smell before checking their consistency. I was a little bit skeptical whether to purchase them or not because like I said, I have never found a body butter that impressed me so far. But I ended up buying it anyway and I also purchased a body lotion under the same line. These are from the PINK line and they are called “Pretty & Pure“.

Next item that I became obsessed with is a scented candle. I’ve watched a lot of YouTube videos especially most of the beauty gurus and they’ve talked a lot about Bath and Body Works scented candles. I’ve been in and out of their store and bought few candles that I thought I will love but was disappointed instead. I’ve also tried their “Wallflowers Fragrance” plug-ins and yes they made the entire room smells really good but not as how I wanted it to be. (I’m sorry guys.. I know you love Bath & Body Works but it just didn’t work for me). But hey, I’m not going to end my search and I’m sure I will be able to find my match..hehe 🙂
Moving on, with my quest of finding the perfect scented candle, who would think that I will find them at Walmart. Ahhuhh Walmart of all the places right? I’ve never really paid attention to their candles section because I don’t know.. I just didn’t. But when I saw one candle named CHERRY BLOSSOM I was hypnotized and thought of taking one home. The scent was very calming, sweet and subtle which convinced me to buy it. Aside from the smell, it was also very affordable to which it cost $3.50 only.
This is from the brand MAINSTAYS.
They have a wide variety of scents but Cherry Blossom is one of my favorite amongst them all.
I turned into a hoarder the moment I discovered this baby until one day.. It became impossible for me to find one. Every week we went to Walmart and I always make sure to check their candles section and I couldn’t believe they have nothing. The last thing I got was the AROMABEADS which I just kept in my room to keep the smell and I’ve no plan of even burning them. 😛
Weeks, months and now it been a year and NONE..NADA…NoTHING.. Bottomline is, they DISCONTINUED my candle!!! How could they??? (though they already did) but still…. I checked Walmart online and still no luck. I guess I need to accept the fact and start with my quest again..
Though… I found a Wallflowers Fragrance in Japanese Cherry Blossom scent at Bath & Body Works but it’s so much different from the Cherry Blossom that I loved.
Unfortunately, all items mentioned above are now nowhere to be found. I am being deprived of my happiness that they have decided to discontinue reproducing them for me. I’m sure I am not alone in this sadness 😦 and how about you guys? was there ever a time that you finally found something that you fell in love with but it got discontinued too?

Polish of the Week!
Luckily the snowy days are almost over so I have decided to wear a brighter shade this week.
But let me give you some tips on how to make your nail polish last a little bit longer while doing it at home.
- Clean your nails properly. (If you don’t have time to spend cleaning your nails, you can do this while you’re in the shower). Bring your Nail Cuticle Pusher in the shower and while your letting your shampoo or conditioner stay on your hair for a few minutes, then this is the perfect time for your Nail Cuticle Pusher to work. This way, it’s easier to clean because your nails are soaked and wet.
- If you’re tired of having those long nails, then this is the time you will need to use a Nail Clipper. Cut your nails the way you want it to be and since your nails are now clean. This is easier for you to cut them into the length of your choice.
- Nail File is one of my go to nail tools for my nails. I carry them all the time in my purse and they are the best tool to smoothen those sharp annoying edges on your nails. This will also avoid chipping since there’s no broken edges that will break your nails and nail polish.
- I have never tried taking cuticle when I do my manicure but I use them when doing a pedicure. So now this is where our Nail Cuticle Nipper comes in. If you are not used to use this, You can just skip it. However, if you use this carefully and safely then it should be easier for you to work them. This will make those nails look like a salon mani-pedi.
Now let’s move on to the fun part.
I used to apply nail polish directly to my nails and I noticed that they turned my nails to this yellowish color and they brittle or break so easily.
Here are some of my nail polish essentials.
- The moment I discovered the Base Coat for nails, I never apply nail polish directly on my nails anymore. I also noticed that with base coat, they protect my nails from discoloration and makes the nail polish last even longer. It also helps the nail polish glide on easily, evenly and smoothly.
- Apply your desired Nail Polish. You can even play with different shades or even use some nail arts. There are quite a lot of affordable easy to use nail art everywhere and you can even browse online for some DIY nail art ideas.
- Top Coat makes a lot of difference to the look of you nails or nail polish. It also help protects your nail polish and makes them look shiny with a smooth finish.
- To clean the unwanted nail polish around the area, you can use Q-tips or your old angled brush and dip them in your nail polish remover OR when you get the chance, you can also try my new-found fave that makes my life sooo much easier when painting my nails and that is the Sally Hansen “No More Mistakes” manicure clean-up pen. This is very affordable and I purchased mine at Walmart for less than $7.00 only.

- Rimmel London (60 sec) in shade #873 “Breakfast in Bed”
- Rimmel London (60 sec) in shade #810 “Precious Metal”
- Rimmel London (60 sec) #740 “Clear”
- If you noticed, I used mostly Rimmel London nail polishes because they are one of the best polishes I’ve ever tried and YES! They are true to their (60 sec) rule.. Very quick dry!😃😉👍
