Polish of the week!

thumb_head_1024

Here I go again with my other obsession. Nails, nail polish, nail art or anything related to nails makes me happy. This is just a quick post to show you what I did with my nails this week.

Recently I posted a Beauty Haul! and if you’ve checked it out I’m sure you’ve seen some of the MILANI Color Statement Nail Lacquer that I bought.

thumb_IMG_6988_1024

I wanted to use all the shades that I purchased because they’re just really beautiful but I didn’t want to look funny specially at work so I settled with two shades instead.

In case you’re wondering how I divided the colors,

  • First, of course I need to apply a Base Coat (OPI)
  • second, I painted my nails with the shade Pink Beige
  • then I had to let it dry.
  • placed a clear tape to cover the other part of my nail and since I didn’t have a proper nail accessory, I ended up using a clear tape “be innovative” you know. 🙂
  • then I applied the shade Mauving Forward
  • and finished it with Milani’s Quick Dry Top Coat

I know.. I know.. it’s not great! but practice makes perfect right?

Just an insight, this MILANI COLOR STATEMENT NAIL LACQUER is very smooth, very thick and super rich in color. It does have a glossy finish in just one coat and is available in a variety of different finishes – cream, sheer, metallic or with glitters and comes in 37 shades. It didn’t say that this nail polish is a quick dry though but it felt like it is. However, since the Top Coat is definitely a quick dry, then that made this nail polish to dry even quicker.

And.. voila!

I told you this is just a quick post.. Thank for dropping by!

Insta recap!

thumb_Untitled_1024

I hope everyone is having a great weekend and to those who got hit by the snow storm, I hope you all are safe and warm.

I thought I’d do a quick recap on what I shared on my Instagram and Twitter accounts. If you get the chance and wants to see what I’m up to when I’m not blogging, go ahead and follow me and give me a “haller” and I will follow back!

Now let’s get started.

Monday

This was my Monday morning companion. I’ve been trying to use some of my old makeup so they won’t go to waste. This is Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm Balm in the shade DEMURE (105). I love the “minty” feel on this balm and is definitely hydrating. You can use this all by itself or use it on top of you favorite lipstick as a lip shiner.

While there’s a beautiful thin sheet of snow on the ground, I thought I’d take a quick snap on the mother of all my purses. This Celine Micro purse was given to me by my hubby on our wedding anniversary few years back and I rarely use this so it won’t get damaged. This can carry a lot of things but I don’t recommend using this when you’re wandering around for a long period of time as it tends to get really heavy on the arm.

 Wednesday

On Wednesday’s we got to have some Pink! Another re-discovery of yours truly and I used to have quite a few of these Rimmel London Show Off Lip Lacquer but I gave some to my sister back home since they don’t have Rimmel London products there yet. (in case you’re wondering where is home? it’s in the Phlippines). This is in the shade NOVA (102).

Thursday

One of my very few high end products if I must say. This is the Dior Addict High Shine in 260. Aside from the very elegant packaging, the product is also SUPER Hydrating. I never regret having this lip product in my collection.

Friday

Eye Shadow Friday! I almost forgot I have this MAC eyeshadow in RICEPAPER Frost. This shadow is very smooth, super pigmented and can be used just by itself or as a base and mix with other shade of you choice. (Of course it’s from MAC, then it better be great right?)

And that’s it.

Bonus: Of course this post won’t be complete without a quick OOTD.. isn’t it? 🤗

Mascara Collection/Review

Just a couple of weeks back I had to clean up my makeup pile and got rid of some items that I don’t really use and kept the ones that I know I love. First item that I thought I’d share with you is something that I use daily. Though I don’t wear any eyeshadows or makeup everyday, I like to have some mascara’s on.

I narrowed my mascaras down to eight. Why eight? I am not sure but it just so happened that I ended up keeping eight. Continue reading “Mascara Collection/Review”

Beauty Haul!

Untitled_Fotor

There are two reasons why I shop, one is because I’m stressed and two because I want them and would like to take them home with me. I know I said it in my last post  “Goals..Goals..Goals..” that I will try to Spend Less and Save More. So this time, I did spend less.

It’s been a while since I’ve shared my last haul post “Mini-lipstick-Haul!” so I guess it’s time for me to share some today.

MILANI Color Statement Nail Lacquer

These nail polishes cost $3.95 at Walmart but I only paid 97 cents for each as they were on sale.

thumb_IMG_6804_1024_Fotor I love the range of colors that they have, the formulation looks really good too and the packaging is just elegant. That made me so excited to buy them (aside from the price of course), now I cannot wait to try them very soon.

Now, let’s talk about face products.
thumb_IMG_6833_1024
Another repurchased item here is the MAYBELLINE Fit Me Concealer in the shade SAND. One of the best concealer I’ve ever tried. Non-drying, not “cakey” either, very smooth and very easy to blend too. Definitely a Must-Have.

thumb_IMG_6837_1024

Finally! I’m able to lay my hands on this lipstick from Rimmel The Only One Lipstick, 120 You’re all mineI’ve been seeing photos and advertisements on this lipsticks all over the net and now I got one myself. The quality of this lipstick is awesome. It smells like the Rimmel Lasting Finish By Kate Lipstick collection but as always, not too overwhelming.  The shade option is quite limited but I’m hoping that they will come up with more new shades for a better color options.

Milani Power Lip Lasting & Moisturizing Lip Stain, Strawberry Sugar 06

I’ve never heard much buzz about this Milani Power Lip Gloss Stain. I’ve purchased one before just out of curiosity but I ended up loving it. Now I thought why not add one more gloss stain in my lipstick collection and see if I will adore this shade as well. This is truly a stain because it stays on for a while, another good thing about this product is that, it doesn’t dry your lips out.

If you’ve tried this item, please let me know what you guys think?

Rimmel London in You’re All Mine and Milani Power Lip Gloss Stain in Strawberry Sugar

I couldn’t help myself but grab another Powder Brush from Elf Cosmetics. They are just one of the best and most affordable brushes out there.

thumb_IMG_6835_1024

Last but not the least, is my new favorite Covergirl The Super Sizer by LashBlast(r) Mascara, 800 Very Black. I don’t know what took me so long to purchase this mascara though I’ve seen and heard so many beauty bloggers and beauty gurus talked about this.

thumb_IMG_6836_1024_FotorThe wand looks really tiny and seemed like it can’t even give you volume or length, but hey! don’t get fooled by it because this tiny wand is AWESOME! I love how it makes my lashes look long, black and with more volume. This mascara stays on and keeps the curl really well for a long time. It doesn’t flake and didn’t irritate my eyes too. Great for top and bottom lashes. I love this!

And that’s it for now, let me know if you want to see a “Fashion Haul” post too!

Until next time…

Ipsy Glam Bag! (January’2016)

I finally received my very first Ipsy Glam Bag for this year. I was actually looking forward to this month’s bag because I was a little bit disappointed with my December products.

This month’s theme is called All Eyes On You, so with that they sent products just for our beautiful eyes. Continue reading “Ipsy Glam Bag! (January’2016)”
