It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a Polish of the Week for you guys. Now I finally got the chance to share one, featuring a product that I got from my Ipsy Glam Bag back in December.
Before I apply the actual nail polish, I always make sure that I put on a Base Coat. This way it will help keep the nail polish last longer and I also feel like Base Coat helps your nails from getting stained from the nail color itself. I then apply the nail polish of my choice and sealed them with a Clear Coat or Top Coat for shinier and smoother result.
If you’ve been following my Polish of the Week posts, I’m sure you’re familiar with my favorite Sally Hansen “No More Mistakes” Manicure Clean-Up Pen. What does it do? It makes your life easier when cleaning those mess on your nails while applying the nail color. This manicure clean-up pen is so easy to use, very convenient and it lasts longer too. I’ve had this for almost a year now and believe it or not, it’s still doing a great job. You should try this guys! I highly recommend it!
I was really curious on how this Julie G nail color would look on my nails, I also wanted to see the consistency, quality and it’s lasting power so I had to grab it and give it a try. So far the applicator is good, the quality of the nail color is very smooth and I also noticed it dried really fast which is my number one requirement in a nail polish. I love how it glides on my nails and the result is impressive. You can barely see the stroke of the nail polish brush/applicator (if that’s what they call it) and I only applied two coats since the formula is thick. In fact, one coat is good enough but I wanted it to look darker so I had to apply twice. This nail color is from my Ipsy Glam Bag back in December-2015.
As usual, I wanted to see some sparkles on my nails so I added a touch of gold. I used Pure Ice nail polish on the tip of my nails to add some life and little bit of fun on them.
It’s been a day and so far I haven’t seen a chip on my nails which to me is a good sign. I’m sure you’re all thinking that a day is yet too early to tell but I’ve tried some nail polishes that chipped immediately after a few hours on my nails.
So far-So good! I really wish this nail polish will last a week on my nails. We’ll see and I hope to give you an update anytime soon!
By the way… if you have other social media accounts (check out the links in my bio)..Don’t forget to drop by and say Hi!
Pretty! I like how subtle the gold glitter is. 🙂
This week my mani is Revlon Sophisticated which I posted on my Instagram! One of the new ones I got – very happy with it!

I’ve tried Revlon ones and I might even try them again.. It’s just hard for me to switch nail polish as I’m loyal to Rimmel London.. They just stayed on my nails forever.. Hehehe
