Ipsy Glam Bag (March)+Review

Ipsy_Fotor

I’ve read mixed reviews on the Ipsy Glam Bag for the month of March so now, it’s my turn to share my thoughts too.

This month’s theme is called Très Jolie. I wasn’t sure what Très Jolie meant so I had to ask my friend “Google” and I found out that Très Jolie means Very Pretty!

Let’s start with the bag itself. I am very pleased with this glam bag, it’s beautiful and elegant looking. I like the honeycomb pattern and the peach colored bag makes it even prettier. You can definitely fit a ton of products in this bag!

What’s in my bag?

Cake Desserted Island Supreme Body Mousse – This body mousse smells amazing, it made my skin feeling soft too, it’s cruelty-free and is made in Canada. However, this body mousse didn’t impress me. It’s not hydrating or moisturizing either.

  • The whipped and airy texture (yes, like the dessert kind of mousse!) feels so light and dreamy, never greasy.

  • The tropical scent, a combo of vanilla and coconut, gives us all the vacay feels.

  • Ingredients like coconut oil and mango seed butter quench even the driest skin with the moisture it needs.

JeNu High Tech Beauty Marine Collagen Mineral Gel This mineral gel on the other hand, smells too strong but it feels really nice and hydrating on the skin. I like the dropper applicator because it helps me use just the right amount of product and it doesn’t go to waste.

  • This formula has marine collagen to help promote your skin’s natural collagen production (AKA fewer wrinkles).

  • Need a little instant gratification? There’s also hyaluronic acid! This draws water to and plumps up your skin, making lines look way smoother almost instantly.

  • Much love to the dropper applicator, which minimizes the likelihood of contamination since you’re not sticking your germy fingers into a jar.

Skone Cosmetics Luxe Pro Blending Brush – I’ve said this before and I’ll say this again, I really enjoy getting makeup brushes in my glam bag. This blending brush is super soft and since this is from Skone Cosmetics, it’s even better!

  • These super luxe synthetic bristles are not only cruelty-free, they’re also insanely soft.
  • Fun fact: The brand name means beauty in Afrikaans.

  • Gotta’ heart the rose gold accents. So chic!

So Susan Blush & Glow – I got the shade Rose Rust and this blush is surprisingly pigmented. No fall-outs and it’s very smooth too. The shade is pretty but I enjoyed wearing this as an eyeshadow more than a blush.

  • Like the mood ring of blushes, this has multi-chromatic pigments. Real talk: It gradually adjusts to the perfect color for your skin tone…no more spending hours trying to find the right shade.

  • Fall-out free, the color will stay exactly where you put it. Unlike our keys…bobby pins…

  • No matter your preferred tool technique, this can be applied with either fingertips, a flat foundation brush, or a sponge.

tarte cosmetics tarteist quick dry matte lip paint in rosé well, well, well!! This is probably one of my favorite items in this bag. This lip paint in the shade Rosé is stunning. Now, here’s another lippy to add to my tiny collection. 🙂

  • Vegan-friendly, this brand defines eco-chic.

  • Whether you want bright and bold or nice and neutral, there’s a shade for that.

  • A precision applicator makes even crazy colors easy to apply without drawing outside the lines.

  • The velvet matte finish nails all of our Goldilocks criteria; neither too matte, nor too glossy.

  • An extra coat can change the whole look and pump up the color dramatically, always a nice option when you’re going from day to night.

My verdict?

I’m pleasantly happy with my March Ipsy Glam Bag! For $10.00 a month, I can’t complain. How about you? did you like your March glam bag?

Oh I believe you! That’s why I ended up sharing my bag a month later coz I usually receive my bag late. I am getting my April bag and I’m done for sure.

  1. Yeah, Cake is a Canadian company! I love their body mousse – so good and smells amazing.
The Skone blending brush looks really useful – I think that getting a brush is way better than makeup or skincare, in these bags.
I can see how that blush would make a gorgeous eye shadow. As a blush it would too frosty looking.
That Tarte lip paint is so pretty!!! I can see why it’s your favourite item in this bag!
