New York City “mini-haul”…

Mini-Haul_Fotor

Just a few of weeks ago, I went to visit New York City just for a day to spend some “Me time”. I was actually planning on heading to the Inglot store but it was a bit too far from where I was ,so I guess that’s going to be my next assignment. 🙂

Anyway, I couldn’t resist but to check out Duane Reade (the most recognized drugstore chain in metropolitan New York). Duane Reade became a part of Walgreens family and they carry a lot of great drugstore beauty products that Walgreens Pharmacy itself do not sell.

They have a beauty section (LOOK boutique) that sells a lot of amazing drugstore brands that we do not have here in Albany, NY. Few of the brands they carry are the ones that I’ve laid my hands to.

Let’s get the Rimmel London look!

OK-OK, you all know that I am such a huge fan of Rimmel London products most especially with their nail polishes (60 seconds) quick dry and their foundation, concealer, lip products (I guess everything) HAHA. Now let me show you what I collectively purchased over the past weeks.

Wet N’ Wild (mini-haul)

Mini-Haul_Fotor

Here is a quick mini-haul post for you guys!

Lately, I have been collecting more beauty products to add to my collection. And one of those products happened to be from my all time favorite drugstore brands Wet N’ Wild Beauty.

I had to scout all Walgreens Pharmacy here in Albany, New York just to be able to lay my hands on the Wet N Wild Brushes. However, I didn’t have any luck in finding one but instead, I found one at Walmart and I found the rest at Rite Aid Pharmacy (weird) as I thought these brushes are exclusively sold at Walgreens.

Anyway, let’s get started!

I have been eyeing on these brushes since they were launched but I didn’t feel like purchasing them online. Aside from it’s always sold-out, the shipping is actually more expensive than the brushes itself. But because I believe in the saying that “Patience is a Virtue” then yes! I finally laid my hands on some of them. 🙂 I got five brushes which to me are the most essential brushes for my day-to-day makeup application.

These brushes are super soft and very affordable too. I paid $2.99 each for the Powder and Foundation brushes while $0.99 each for the Large Eyeshadow brush, Small Eyeshadow brush and Small Concealer brush.

Below is a closer look of how beautiful these brushes are.

Moving on, since I have a super sensitive skin I was really hesitant in trying out any setting spray that is available in the market. However, because of all the buzz and it’s ingredients, I had to try this product myself.

This Photo Focus Setting Spray is amazing! They did not irritate my skin at all. It’s very refreshing when you spray them on your face right after you apply your makeup. It gives you this smooth, non-cakey result and it does keep your face shine free throughout the day.

Description: Lights, camera, action! This exclusive formula extends makeup wear by preventing cracking, smudging, fading, or creasing. Works with any makeup and all skin types, plus it has aloe to hydrate your skin. One step, perfect! – See more at: http://www.wetnwildbeauty.com/face/primer/photo-focustm-setting-spray.html#sthash.seywdxzK.dpuf

I love the scent of this Photo Focus Setting Spray. It’s very subtle, fresh and clean. I am also impressed with the “sprayer” on this bottle as it does spray evenly like a mist and not a “squirt” (if you know what I mean). I paid $4.99 for this at CVS Pharmacy.

Ingredients: Water/Eau, Alcohol Denat., PVP, Propanediol, PPG-3 Benzyl Ether Myristate, Dimethicone PEG/PPG-12/4 Phosphate, Glycereth-5 Lactate, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Chlorphenesin, Ethylhexyl Isononanoate, Isononyl Isononanoate, Poloxamer 127, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Cocamidopropyl PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Caprylhydroxamic Acid, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, PPG-26-Buteth-26, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Fragrance/Parfum. – See more at: http://www.wetnwildbeauty.com/face/primer/photo-focustm-setting-spray.html#sthash.seywdxzK.dpuf

Lastly, I couldn’t resist myself but I had to grab two of the Wet n Wild Color Icon Ombre Blusher which you can only find at Target.

Look how pretty these blushes are! As always, they are very pigmented, lightweight and buildable, the packaging is elegant for the price of $4.99 and the color payoff is just beautiful. You can also use this as an eyeshadow if you like (Isn’t it cool?).

I purchased the shades The Princess Daiquiries and In A Purple Haze.

Swatches…

In A Purple Haze is probably my favorite as it’s more on the “peachy” or “corally” shade that is just right up my alley. However, The Princess Daiquiries is also gorgeous and wearable but I haven’t really used this a lot as I kept on reaching for the shade In A Purple Haze the most.

And there you have it!

Have you guys tried any of these beauties?

I needed a new makeup sponge so I bought another StyleWurks brand as you all know I love this brand a lot. It’s very affordable and it works really really well too. —  Rimmel London Long-Lasting finish foundation is another item I purchased recently. I have never been disappointed with Rimmel London products so why not add this foundation to my collection. In fact, it’s added on my July Favorites already.

I’ve been wanting to purchase this Milani Powder Blush so finally I reached for it. I got the shade “Coral Cover” (05) and it’s ultra silky-soft powder blush that delivers the perfect amount of color and easily blends onto checks. I love this blush so much and it’s perfect for everyday wear. The shade is perfect and very pigmented too. I highly recommend this blush to everyone. —- Next is another Wet N Wild lipstick in the shade “Mauve Outta Here” Rose Flamboyant (907C). This shade is beautiful and it’s perfect for fall.

I was checking out Elf’s makeup brushes and when I saw their bronzing and angled blush brush, I had to take them home with me since I wanted a smaller brushes too. To be honest with you! I am impressed with these brushes, aside from it’s affordable, it’s very smooth and it doesn’t have any fall-outs.
