Another two weeks has gone by and yes! it’s that time again.. 🙂
I’ve decided to go brighter this time and since I’m obsessed with a “corally” shade lately, I chose this color and I hope this nail polish will last for at least a week! I got this nail polish a couple of months ago as I wanted to try a different brand and I’m hoping that this will make it on top of my list.
Base Coat – OPI
Nail Polish – Wet n’ Wild (wildshine) in the shade Blazed #4738
Clear/Top Coat – Rimmel London (60 seconds)
I’m sure you’re wondering why I haven’t mentioned the Sally Hansen “No More Mistakes” Manicure Clean-Up Pen and that is because I haven’t made a mess when I applied my nail polish (round of applause 👏👏please!!!! LOL)✌ 😜
Please let me know on the comment section below as to what shade you think I should try next. 🙂
How do I clean my makeup sponge? But before I show you how, let me ask you these questions.
How often do you use your makeup sponge?
How often do you clean your makeup sponge?
What do you use when cleaning your makeup sponge?
What brand is your current makeup sponge?
My answers:
Since I’ve discovered the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge, I have been using it since then. The result from using your fingers or brushes when applying your foundation or concealer or even BB cream is so much different when using a makeup sponge. I use a makeup sponge everyday as long as I put on makeup.
I clean my sponge every single day. Yup! everyday. Since we all take a shower everyday then why not take it with you in the shower right? I take my makeup sponge with me in the shower and wash it while I’m taking a shower. That simple! 🙂 This way, I use a clean and fresh sponge every-time I use it.
I use my facial soap to clean my makeup sponge. I find it safer for my face when using this soap rather than using other product to clean my sponge since I have a very sensitive skin.
Even though I’ve discovered the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge and yes, it did a great job but I found another brand that kicked Real Techniques on the side (sorry RT). This sponge was on my last Haul post and bought it with hesitation. I was actually looking to purchase another Real Techniques makeup sponge but unfortunately, the place I went to didn’t have it so I just took the StyleWurks Blending Makeup Sponge instead with a pair of “fingers crossed” haha. You know what?? this sponge is awesome! Aside from that, it’s way cheaper than the RT. I’ve never had any issues with it since day one. It’s very easy to clean unlike the RT sponge that no matter how you wash/clean it, the product stays on and stained the sponge.
Here is a quick look of my makeup sponge.
StyleWurks Blending Makeup Sponge. “Doesn’t it look brand new again?” 🙂
I hope you find this post helpful and please don’t forget to leave comments below! ❤
Another TAG that I enjoyed writing. This is my first tag related to Love/Hate so Thank You MarieCrz for nominating me. I had fun writing this post and I also hope my cyber-friends will enjoy reading them too. 🙂
RULES:
In this tag we have to share 10 things we love and 10 we hate and nominate up to 10 blogs to do the same.
10 Things I Love
God – Because he is always there for me and to everyone around me. (we all know that right?)
Family/Hubby – Is this even considered as things?haha.. but I am still going to include them because I love them! ❤
Friends – I love my friends so much as they show how much they love me too. In fact, I miss them a lot!
(Beauty) Lipstick, Blush, Eye shadow, Nail Polish, etc. – Who doesn’t love makeup…they are just so much fun to play with and since there are tons of shade options, it makes it even more tempting to collect them all.
Ice Cream – I can’t end my day without Ice Cream! Though I am not a fan of Vanilla flavored Ice cream (I know..I know) but I love to try different flavors as well. My favorite is Rocky Road or anything with chocolate (yuumm).
Bags – handbag, shoulder bag, tote, purse, pocket-book or however you want to call it. You just can’t have enough of them (don’t deny ladies! don’t deny..haha).
Shoes – high heels, boots, flats, sneakers or anything that you can wear on your feet. Another thing that most of us “collect”. The most common reason why we have to buy one is??? “I don’t have this color”, “I have been searching for this style since forever”, “I need this to pair with my bag”. HAHAHAHA
Clothes – Another thing that just kept piling up. It’s nice to see a closet with clothes hanging (with tags on). An organized cabinet with t-shirts, pants, shorts, skirts, tank top and so on and on and on and on and on…………………
Rice – Is rice a “thing”? anyway, if it is then yes! I love rice. I love plain rice (steamed).
My baby (shih tzu) – he is two and a half year-old puppy/dog. He is one of the best gift I’ve ever received from my hubby. I love him so much!
10 THINGS I HATE/Dislike
It’s hard to find “things” that I Hate or Dislike but I am going to include “anything” that I Hate/Dislike.
Body Odor – I am not sure if they just can’t smell themselves? Immune to their smell? Have not seen a deodorant their entire existence? Don’t know what is body soap? Or they just love the smell (armpits in particular).
People without Common sense – It’s sad that common sense is not for sale..If only I can buy some I would, and give it to those who don’t have it.
Liar (s) – who does??
Mistakes – I dislike when I made mistakes, I know we all make mistakes but my point is, If I wasn’t careless the first time then mistakes could have been avoided.
Dirty/Untidy – I make a mess but I know how to clean my mess. What I hate the most is when people doesn’t clean-up their mess even though the dirt is screaming right in front of their face!
Fake – Fake/plastic people is the worst creature ever made.
Ignorant – Being Innocent and or Ignorant are two different things. Other people think that they know everything and makes ignorant comment is a NO-NO!
“Know it All” – Have you ever met someone that “knows it all”? every time you say something, the other party immediately have something to say about what you’re saying. Most common phrases “I know”, “I’ve been there”, I’ve seen it”, I have one”, “my friend and I” and so on!
Waking up – I don’t mind mornings, but I do not like waking up in the morning. However, once I’m awake I’m good to go.
Vegetables – I have never been a lover of vegetables ever since I was young. There’s very very few that I can take but majority is just uuhhmm.. sorry!
Where did the month of May go? I’m sure you’ve asked the same exact question right? Anyway, the good thing is that summer is here and May Favorites is now happening so stay tuned!
I have been very minimal last month, in other words (LAZY) haha. This might not be a very interesting post but hey! this products got me through the entire month with a smile. 🙂
Now, let’s get started.
Simple Cleansing Micellar Water – At first I didn’t like it but the longer I used it, I started loving it. It cleanse really well and the best part is, it doesn’t break me out.
Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer – Surprise Surprise!!! What else can I say about this moisturizer?? hhmmppp.. THE BEST! ❤
Ole Henriksen Sheer Transformation (oil free perfecting creme repairs skin with vitamin C complex, licorice root and pea extract. – I found this product in the “isle of doom” at Sephora as I was looking for a product that will help eliminate or reduce this pimple scar on my face. I’m not 100% sure if it did help but I noticed a difference on the spots so I thought to just continue using them. I just got the sample size because I was worried that it might irritate my skin, gladly this creme is very gentle and I like it. 🙂
Glam Glow Youthmud (Tinglexfoliate Treatment) – My Savior, a Must Have, Holy Grail. This product played a huge part on my face. Because of this, I stopped getting “sparkles”, the moment I can feel that a pimple is popping-up I dab a small amount on the spot and leave it overnight. The next morning, the monster is gone! I am so glad I found this Glam Glow Youthmud. I got the sample size again just to try it out and it lasted me for months since I don’t use this on my entire face. THIS PRODUCT IS A MIRACLE!
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge – you guys know what this is.. 🙂
MAC “BlushBaby” Sheertone Blush – This is a re-discovered product and I have been loving it ever since we met again.
Maybelline “Fit Me” Pressed Powder – I’m killing this pressed powder to death. I love how it kept me shine-free all throughout the day and very very lightweight too which is good.
Maybelline “Fit Me” Concealer – This concealer is great in covering some unwanted scars/spots on my face. I love how it feels on my skin and most importantly, it doesn’t break me out.
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in the shade Milan – This shade is good for everyday wear, it’s matte, non-drying, smells really good (yummy) and can be worn during the day or even at night.
Covergirl Clump Crusher by lashblast Mascara – Another item that I’ve been reaching a lot for this past month. It’s really a clump crusher, though it’s not volumizing but they do keep the curl. It’s another product that is good for everyday wear but I don’t recommend this for night time or if you are going for a glam look.
Carmex Original Lip Balm – Please note that as long as you follow my posts, you will forever see this lip balm. You all know that this is another item that I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT.
Let me squeeze a non-beauty item in this post. This two items below have been my go-to footwear since Spring arrived. They are just so comfortable, easy to wear and can be paired with anything. I’ve had this items for over a year now and they still look great. The sandals are from NY&Co. while the “loafers” are from Nine West. They both have a hint of gold on them as I love gold so much. You will see me wearing these babies a lot for sure.
As I was cleaning and fixing my vanity, I noticed I have quiet a lot of hair products and so I’ve decided to narrow them down to my Top 5 most reached products.
I’m sure most of us loves to use heat styling tools for our hair and I admit, I blow dry my hair at least twice a week, flat iron and even curled my hair a lot and with that, my hair turned dry, damaged and even with some split ends going on.
Heat Protectant:
TREsemme Thermal Creation (heat protection up to 450*F) Heat Tamer Leave-In Spray. I have repurchased this spray several times and I have nothing bad to say about this spray. This product works with heat appliances, protects against heat damage and I have been using this for over a year now,
Garnier Fructis -Sleek & Shine Flat Iron Perfector Straightening Mist. I alternate this Mist with the TREsemme spray and so far it’s working really well. Aside from the best result, I also love it’s pleasant smell. This powerful straightening mist with argan oil from Morocco protects your hair from the heat of your flat iron, while sealing in smoothness and shine for a lasting, sleek finish for 48 hours.
Garnier Fructis – Damage Eraser Split-End Bandage. This product has shown results after the first few uses, it helped my hair a lot and I noticed how my split ends started to vanish or should I say they have disappeared. The formula with Phyto-Keratin complex, containing plant-based proteins and active fruit concentrate, and cupuaçu butter, with natural lipids, works in two ways to build healthier, stronger hair and protect from future damage. I highly recommend this Bandage Eraser to all of you guys.
Advanced silicone technology. Repairs, protects, and enhances color vibrancy. Gives ultra shiny hair is with light-reflecting color. Exclusive antifadecomplex maximizes color retention.Pureology Anti-Fade Complex Glossing Mist, 4.2 Ounce. I have this product for years now (YES! YearS) and I am not sure if it’s expired or not as it doesn’t have any expiration date on the bottle. I only use this product once in a while or shall I say, I use this for special occasion only. 🙂 This is one of THE BEST hair product I’ve ever own and I’m almost out of it. I’ve been searching all over to find this Glossing Mist but I couldn’t find it anywhere. Perhaps it’s discontinued?? 😦 But! I checked Amazon.com (the go-to site) and waahhh it found it! However, I almost fainted when I saw the price.. It actually cost $65.85+free shipping (TOO MUCH! it only cost me $20.00 back then).. Anyway, I just spray a very small amount of this glossing mist on my hair after I blow dry, flat iron or curl my hair and it made my hair really shiny, smooth and makes your hair-colour popped even more. Bottom-line, I would recommend this product without a doubt to anyone.
Last but not the least, this is something that I just recently discovered. I wash my hair every single day and I know washing your hair daily is not good right? But what can we do? I’m not used to leave the house with unwashed hair. So, I’ve decided to try a dry shampoo. To be honest with you, I’ve never heard of a dry shampoo before until I started watching YouTube videos. Until one day, when I saw this product I thought why not give it a try. At first, it felt gross not washing my hair until I tried it once, then twice and with this Dove Refresh+Care Volume Dry Shampoo it does it’s job really well as it absorbs oil to refresh hair gently, leaving it clean, nourished and soft between washes. Even my hubby got hooked with it (haha). Great job Dove..Great job!
So yeah! tell me what your recommendations guys as I would love to try new stuff.
Once again, I hope you all enjoy this post and don’t forget to leave your comments below!
