My Skin Care Routine!

It’s been a month since I changed my skincare routine and used products that is very convenient for everyone to find. Most of these products can be found in your local drugstores and is very affordable too.

Since I used the Simple Skin Care Products, I’ve noticed a huge difference on my face and especially on my pimples. I can assure you all that these products are awesome and they are very gentle on any skin types.

First, I start my morning with the Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash.

Simple Moisturizing Facial Wash thoroughly cleanses your skin, removing oil, dirt, and other impurities.

  • 100% soap free wash leaves skin cleansed and revived
  • With added Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E; Contains skin-loving Bisabolol
  • Suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive skin
  • No Dyes, No Artificial Perfumes and No Harsh Irritants that can upset your skin

Then followed with the Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub.

  • Gently exfoliates and cleans skin
  • Brightens and evens skin texture

Next, to keep my skin soft and smooth I apply the Simple Protecting Light Moisturizer.  I use this before I apply my concealer or my foundation. It helps dehydrate my skin and makes my makeup look flawless too.

  • 2 vitamins: pro-vitamin B5, vitamin E
  • No harsh irritants that can upset your skin

As soon as I arrived home from work or after wearing any makeup on, I always use the Simple Facial Cleansing Wipes. This wipes is tough on make-up and gentle on skin. And to make it even cleaner. I use the Simple Micellar Cleanser Water, and yes! they do a great job in removing all makeup and dirt.

Now, let’s talk about a non-Simple Skin Care products.

I bought Ole HenriksenSheer Transformation in their sample size to hopefully clear some of the pimple marks on my face. I am not sure if they are working great but I did notice some changes on my skin or shall I say on my pimple marks.

Research results:
In a consumer use study on 52 respondents:
– 96% said the product softens skin and smooths uneven texture
– 95% said their skin looks brighter and more radiant
– 86% said that product treats discoloration/hyperpigmentation

My pimple savior… ❤

I bought the GLAMGLOW YOUTHMUD™ TINGLEXFOLIATE TREATMENT because I heard so many people talking about this product. While I was at Sephora over a month ago, this sample size GlamGlow Youthmud caught my attention.

A lady from Sephora recommended it as well. Instead of using this product all over my face, I’ve decided to just use this only on my pimple. Guess what? it cured some of my sparkles for sure. My right cheek is now pimple free, though you can still see some marks but I’ll take it rather than seeing a huge ugly looking red monster that sparkles all over.

Now, before I go to bed and after cleaning my face with my Simple products, I just dab a tiny amount of this product on my pimples and let it stay overnight. I am not sure if this is even advisable but it works for me.. what can we do?? 😛

This mud mask leaves skin noticeably radiant and glowing. It works with the body’s natural moisturizing collagen to provide gentle resurfacing exfoliation and helps to leave skin smoother, brighter, and softer. While providing tighter skin texture and tighter pores, it provides a more youthful appearance and absorbs impurities without removing natural oils.

Research results:
Based on consumer trials:
After 1 day of use:
– 97% agreed it left their skin smoother, brighter, and softer
– 91% agreed it brightened their dull skin
– 94% agreed it provided gentle surface exfoliation

After using it 3 times during a 7-day period:
– 100% agreed it brightened their dull skin
– 97% agreed it provided gentle surface exfoliation

So yeah! there you go.. 🙂

My Holy Grail..

The very first lipstick that I’ve been obsessed with was MAC lip products. From the packaging, to it’s quality and most of all their wide range of lipstick shades. There are so many colors to choose from and they are just one of the best lipsticks out there.

Then there came along all the awesome drugstore products that we all love.

However, couple of years ago, I experienced something that no one can explain. Every time I put on lipstick my lips just went insane. They turned so dry, chapped, very flakey with some really really tiny red bumps that felt like sand around my lips or on the lip line (I would say) then they just feel like it’s burning when I put either lipstick or lip balm. It’s was really embarrassing at one point especially when you’re talking to someone. All they see is this very unflattering look on my lips.. (even if I have a photo of my lips during that time, I will never ever show it to anyone) that’s how bad it was..

I’ve tried almost all lip balms out there and even tried some cold sore medications, baby products, nipple cream (yes! you read it right..nipple cream) or anything that will help heal my lips or moisturize them but I had no luck.

I ended up going to my primary care provider hoping that she can recommend a medication to heal my lips. She then recommended that I visit a dermatologist. I went to two dermatologist but none of them helped me with my problem. Both dermatologist said, “it’s just a cold sore” and one said my lips are just too dry but it’s unusual for the weather because normally, dry lips happen during winter. They gave me prescription but it made my problem even worse.

I almost lost hope until I noticed that there’s this product that I felt like I just kept ignoring. You can find it on the checkout counter either at CVS, Walmart or any other drugstore around. I thought maybe it’s still one of those products that is just a waste of time and no positive result. I also thought maybe because it’s so cheap then it might not even be effective. But let’s admit, some cheap products are the ones who have the best result and that’s what convinced me to try this product.

This is the Carmex Original SPF 15 Moisturizing Lip Balm.

IMG_1185IMG_1186If you are suffering from chapped lips or infrequent cold sores, then the Carmex Original SPF 15 Moisturizing Lip Balm Stick is a smart choice. The SPF 15 lip balm was invented by Alfred Woelbing in Milwaukee in the early 1930s . from a variety of natural ingredients. Today, this Carmex Lip Balm Stick, is still formulated with natural ingredients to provide you with relief. This SPF 15 Lip Balm soothes, protects and also heals your lips from cracking and peeling. It is not only a lip moisturizer; it is also contains germ killing menthol and phenol to speed up the healing process. It contains natural ingredients such as beeswax, seed oil, theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter to mention just a few. It also has active sunscreen agents to protect your lips from sun damage.

Since I’ve used Carmex, it became a part of my necessities.  Mind you, I stopped wearing lipstick for I would say at least two years. I had to go to work, talk to people and even attend a party without lipstick. Sometimes when I use lipstick, I had to remove them right away because they feel so uncomfortable on my lips (sad right??…very sad)..

Since then I became very picky when I put on any lip products because I am not getting that lip problem ever again. I also noticed that one major cause of my lips from getting chapped/dry is the MAC lipsticks. I had to get rid of most of my MAC lipsticks because I know they are not good for me even if I use my Carmex before using the lipstick. Luckily there’s more lipstick options out there that I don’t need to buy MAC to have a pretty lips. 🙂

Now, this Carmex (Original Moisturizing) Lip Balm comes with me everywhere I go. I have one at work, in my car, my hubby’s car, my purse, my makeup drawer and an extra pack in case I will lose one. I love this product so much which I am so Grateful and so Thankful that I gave it a try. I can now wear lipstick of my choice and can show my lips with or without lipstick anytime anywhere.

This is the what we call “underdog” lip products out there but this baby saved my lips and what makes it even better is it’s price, very very affordable and I paid $1.59 each.

So yeah! meet my Carmex, my Saviour! 🙂

#Day 16

It’s the 16th day since I made a promise that I won’t be purchasing any Makeup for the entire month of April April Promise!. It was actually easy for the first few days but now it’s getting harder and harder every single day. What makes it even harder is that my office is just right across CVS Pharmacy so the temptation is very very high! 😛

Today, I just checked my email and guess what I found?

A 25% of coupon!!!!! OMG… This is so hard to resist..Please help me..🙏hahahah…huhuhuh.. I guess this is what happens when you are a “shopaholic” right? But, I am almost at the finish line so I am not going to fail us all. 🙂

So yeah! I just want to give you all an update.. (but that’s 25% off though! can I cheat??hehehe)

Talk to you soon cyber-friends!

Polish of the Week!!

It’s that time again and I am very excited to show you what I did with my nails this week.

I thought of wearing just one shade so I started painting my nails with my favorite nail polish brand Rimmel London in the shade Alaska (#711 ). It’s more of a beige colored polish but I was hesitant if it looks good on me. (let me know what you guys think?)IMG_1074

Then, I decided to add color so I ended up using the Perfect TipFrench Polish Guides“. I don’t really use guides when I want a “French Tips” but I thought why not give this a try. 🙂

Now, the final touch is up! I chose the shade Do Not Disturb (#863) and it’s more of a dark green shade. And ooppsss… don’t forget the Top Coat/Clear Coat for smoother and shinier finish.. I thought it came out great! 🙂 🙂

I love it! ❤
