If you’ve followed my journey here since the beginning, I’m sure you’re aware of my “sparkles” story. However if you have not, I used to call my pimples “sparkles” a lot. Why?because I felt like pimples are just like sparkles.. no matter how much you hide them, they will peek and show up shining. Well, that’s what I noticed on my pimples anyway.
But, after all the trial and error in finding the perfect product for me. I finally met him (yes him..LOL) and have been using it since then. Here is a link to my previous My Skin Care Routine!

I actually went to Sephora at one point and started checking out products that’s good for pimples, hyperpigmentation and more. In fact, I was given several samples that I was able to bring home to try. To name a few I’ve tried Philosophy, Origins and Murad. As far as I can remember Murad did sting my face so much so I didn’t continue using it. Philosophy was OK but it seemed to irritate my skin as well. Origins however was fine, but it didn’t feel like it was the right product for what I was dealing with at that moment.
I was also given a few sample packets of GLAMGLOW YOUTHMUD Tinglexfoliate Treatment and during my first try, I immediately noticed a result. It dried out my pimples, reduced the redness and didn’t irritate my skin at all.
I purchased the travel size (0.05oz) of this mud mask which cost $22.00 at Sephora. This mud mask does look scary at first glance. It has a soft (muddy) consistency with a few pieces of tea leaf and some tiny particles of “stem” (well, it feels like tiny stem to me) and does smell like seaweed. It applies easily (when you get used to it) and dries quickly too. What I love about this mud mask is that, it is not messy when it dries. This tiny jar goes a long way, I usually repurchase this once every two or three months. The full size of this mud mask cost $69.00 for 1.7 oz.
Suggested Usage:
-Apply a thin layer to clean face (can also be used on the neck and chest).
-Remove mask with water in circular motions to exfoliate.
-Use twice a week or as often as desired.
-Seal lid tightly.
-To re-liquefy, add drops purified water and stir.
I leave this on overnight though I am aware that this is only good for a few minutes but what can we do? this is what works for me. I just apply a small amount onto the pimple itself and on the areas that I feel like something’s ready to come out and for sure the next day it’s either gone or close to being invisible. It definitely helps prevent breakouts, it also helps exfoliate and as well as hydrates my skin too. This mud mask is very gentle on my sensitive skin and I’ve never been disappointed so far. Sometimes even if I don’t have any redness or sparkles, I still apply them to make sure that there’s no surprises when I wake up in the morning (just like the photo above). Because come on! Isn’t it annoying seeing some few bumps on your face? I’ve been using this GLAMGLOW YOUTHMUD Tinglexfoliate for over a year now and will for sure continue to use this going forward.
I highly recommend this mud mask to those who are dealing with sparkles like me. Ask for samples if you’re skeptical, this way you’ll be able to experience it yourself and witness how amazing this product is!
They come in different type of products depending on your needs. I wanted to purchase their SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment but they don’t come in .5 ounce for me to try. Anyway, to know more about GLAMGLOW YOUTHMUD Tinglexfoliate, you can click HERE.
This mask is too harsh for me! But I’m glad you like it as a spot treatment – never thought to use it like that before. A little will go a long way for sure!

Yes, it worked really really well. Using this as a full face mask would be great but a tiny jar like this is not enough.. Haha

This mask was way too strong for my sensitive skin. It made my skin feel like it was going to burn and melt off!

I tried it once as a full mask, and had to wash it off almost immediately! Face was super red for a few hours even with aloe gel.
